I've seen some of these in user signatures.. im pretty sure that they dont transmit the data to anyone but should these be allowed?
They invade privacy?

well, Animatrix ninja'd me, but yeah its easy to grab pretty much anyone's IP/broswer/OS/etc.
Its not like anything you do on the internet isn't traceable.
just locking this because fears of legal concerns from this are... pointless

Using Danasoft or similar signatures do not violate PMC rules, and so are allowed to be used on-site. Information like your IP can be easily taken without such a signature, and information about your browser and OS are irrelevant.
If someone wanted to harm your computer, they could without the use of those signatures. The signatures themselves are harmless.

There is no such thing as IP logging as illegal, if so, they mind as well destroy every internet browser.

when you access a webpage, it automatically goes to a log displaying everything.
its how they blacklist unwanted users and make sure compatibility works

-
i got ip Filtered from PMC before due to a glitch
-

there is GEOIP (which ISP restricts from DIRECT LOCATION) other than this.

100% legal.

you cant hack someone just by their ip. unless your going to spend atleast 16 years bruteforcing.

Everything is patched after time.
even DOS attacks, your modern router can simply block them.

I have that in my sig its not showing any of that too other people, It only shows it to you. Any website you go to can see that stuff even Planet Minecraft. That ip address is your public ip. Thats the ip you use for a server you host on a computer if its not a Hamachi server.

Mine is at the bottom of my sig.

Uh how is it illegal, it's a basic IP lookup that anybody can access, it's not against any laws, it's like saying that because PMC knows you are coming from the US
