I would ban adfly off of PMC if I had the choice, but the team at PMC won't because they want modders to make money, which I totally understand, but they can just use other websites, or they people at adfly should just make the ads PG/PG 13, and actually see if the ads lead to porn, malware, viruses, etc, but the people at adly don't give a crap.
They should have instructions somewhere on the screen where it is easy to see, and it should go like this:
"INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTINUE:
1. WAIT UNTIL THE 5 SECOND COUNT DOWN IS COMPLETE.
(DO NOT CLICK ON ANYTHING)
2. WHEN THE COUNT DOWN IS OVER, PRESS THE CONTINUE BUTTON."
Once again, this won't happen because adfly doesn't give a crap.
CurseForge is a great alternative, I haven't used in quite a couple of months, but everyone says it is a safe alternative, so I recommend CurseForge.

It would probably be better if you would only click the download button in the top right corner of your screen once the five-second timer is over and not click any other downloads. The others are always ads and such.

It would probably be better if you would not recommend even visiting the site but considering how dangerous it is, and supporting this thread.

I definitely agree with this. Adfly is a really shady site and it's gotten to the point where I often just don't support anyone who uses adfly links. Half the time it locks up and will never bring me to the download, other times I get stuff popping up that looks like the site is trying to give me viruses. I have multiple protective addons on my browsers, such as noscript and adblock, and they always seem to be trying to protect me form this awful website whenever it comes up in a link.
I understand people wanting to make some income off of their work but it's not a good look to do so by frustrating and endangering the hardware of every one who takes an interest in your creations. Maybe people could just set up a patreon or something instead?
