I have a few, but one that's been on my mind lately was when America elected its first black president: Barack Obama. I felt SO proud to vote for him as my first ever election choice. I got to vote for him for his second term. I wish I could vote for him again. Obviously he's not perfect but no one can be. He certainly gave me a sense of national pride though.

Added esoterica: 19" or 21" diagonal TV screens were normal at the time, with 25" diagonal being top-of-the-line.
