I've tried that but it doesn't work

Well, Command Blocks have the /tp command, allowing you to teleport to coordinates when powered by redstone.
Use:
/give <yourIGN> 137
Place the block somewhere behind or below where you want the teleporter.
Right-click it, and type in:
/tp @p <spawn point's x, y, and z coords>
To find the spawn point's coords just press f3.

Make the players press a button, or step on a pressure plate, and activate a command block that says something like
/tp @p[r=5] x y z
Where x y z is your location you want them to go to.
/tp @p[r=5] x y z
Where x y z is your location you want them to go to.
