So... A while ago I made a datapack that lets you turn dirt into diamonds.
I never published it of course, it was just to test out datapacking.
However... recently a new type of datapack, the "Minecraft but" datapack has arisen.
At the start, I thought it was a cool idea, but then they became oversaturated.
And the datapacks weren't even good, like you could make them in 5 minutes using a datapack generator.
Wait... did I say 5 minutes, I meant 5 seconds.
The datapacks are all along the lines of, "MINECRAFT, BUT X IS OP" ("X" being something e.g. dirt, or dying or something random).
So... It might just be a common story, new datapackers making op recipies and such, but I kind of doubt it.
Did I predict these kinds of datapacks?

the trend's been goin on for a long time now, so idk about that
also not all "Minecraft but" datapacks are completely effortless, some people make actual fun challenges in that category

Yeah, I was actually thinking of making one of those datapacks (good ones).
So yeah, they CAN have effort, just not some.
I think its just a common first datapack or smth idk

because it's made in less time and gets more internet points

Actually for me it would be faster to make em manually.

I don't really think so, but hey, I could be wrong.
I guess an example would be that I know someone who made a character that was similar to someone in Undertale before the game was released, and they didn't publicly upload them until after the game was released.
