I just wanted to say that I have been getting a TON of disgusting ads from "Wartune", this is actually displayed on more than 1 ad slot per page. Is there any way to block this website from displaying ads? Thanks.

Guys, the best way to fix this is prevention on your end, rather than complaining.
Adblocker is recommended to get rid of those pesky ads.
Some of those ads are just plain ol' ads from the company. Some ads don't relate to what you've searched at all.
There's no specific reason as to why you get those ads, OP.

As I believe Planet Minecraft uses google ads for their site, and google ads sees what you are googling to give you ads that suit you
Preference ads: disabled.
I don't even think it is google cause it doesn't have the "ads by google" at the top of the ads.

Simply go to any program that completely negates trackers. Disable every tracker
found, or better yet, use SWIron.
Browse a key select group with a variable pool, such as pokemon, cows, oreos, and *insert your fav anime*.
Finally, return back to pmc. The ad tracker answer is complete bogus, the ads are not displayed based on your browsing history, tracker or not. Again, people will keep believing this to be the truth and attempt to sound smart by saying it, but quite a few tests i've made have proven otherwise.
Exactly. I have cleared my history and cookies and they are still coming. I guess I will just stick to google chrome until they start coming on here.

The most "disgusting" website I have been to is the esrb website, maybe because it has M rated games? I wanted to see if a car game I wanted was rated yet...

Those disgusting ads are from your cookies and web browsing. Google chooses which ads by your browsing history. So if you watch a bunch of porn you will most likely see those ads

Download another web browser than the one you currently use. I had problems with Internet Explorer not sending me to the right sites, so I switched to Chrome. I also noticed that I started getting different kinds of ads. It might work, it might not.

the ads are generated via your browsing history. So what you see is based off of what some computer thinks you will like.

This is not true. With a clear browsing history, these ads still pop up, and I have heard of them popping up on other sites for people who don't view those kinds of things.

I am sorry, the ads are not generated via planetminecraft, they are generated in your browser taking up the avalable ad space that cyprezz has placed on the site. Removal of those spaces would loose a lot of money for cyprezz and paril. There is no way to moderate the ads because everyone sees different ads at the same time.

That's with google ad preferences, based off your search history. I disabled that long ago and they kept coming.
Also, this is the only site I get them on with google Adsense.
Edit: Used google chrome, different ads. But the first one I saw was "Get an Asian wife" so... That's better but iPad google chrome is acting really buggy on PMC for some reason.

Even so, this website is meant for the minecraft community which can consist of players young and old.
The content on some of the ads here is VERY derogatory and disgusting, and since a lot of younger children play minecraft and use this site, are not suitable.
I know that ads keep the site online, but there needs to be some form of moderation. If I'm not mistaken, they use Google Adsense which I believe has a settings section where you can moderate ads.

Wartune is probably the most common ad in all of english sites, it generates a lot of money from the thousands of sites it displays on, install adblock plus for your browser and you wont have to deal with wartune ads anymore

Adblock stops the sites main source of fund though :/ I suggest leaving it on since someone has to pay the bills but hopefully the new store will help out the site money wise But yes i get some hilarous ads too (Atleast i find them funny )
