I switched to Java a while ago but decided to give Bedrock another try. Here’s what happened. I started off with a classic survival playthrough, and right away, things took a turn. The day cycle seemed to fly by — it was literally night in what felt like five seconds. As soon as the sun set, a skeleton began relentlessly spamming arrows at me, and to make matters worse, my health never regenerated. Needless to say, it didn’t go well.
This got me thinking about my time with Java. In contrast, when I play Java, I feel like the gameplay is much smoother, especially with all the optimization mods like Sodium and Lithium. My health seems to regenerate properly, and the day-night cycle feels more balanced. The vast modding community also adds so much extra content that Bedrock simply doesn’t have — like custom world generation mods, performance tweaks, and extensive gameplay enhancements. It’s those little things that make Java feel more polished to me.
Next, I decided to explore Bedrock’s servers, beginning with one of the most popular: The Hive. This server offers a wide variety of mini-games, so I chose to dive into BedWars solos. The first thing that happened? I was instantly killed by a hacker. It was frustrating, to say the least. In Java, I’d typically encounter similar issues, but the variety of anti-cheat plugins and community-driven efforts to deal with hackers makes it feel less frequent. Plus, with Java, I can always jump into a modded server to play unique game modes that aren't available on Bedrock.
That’s just my experience, of course. Everyone’s gameplay can be different, and I wanted to share my thoughts on it.

first - minecraft bedrock have slower regen speed and stronger monsters (it is harder)
second - if you can't play the game do not immediately say it is hacks 🤣 you moved to java and you got used to easier game 🤣
If this version is too hard for you just do not play it and do not immediately say it should be removed 🤣 I play only bedrock and never had problems with slower regen speed (I am used to it) and players who were much better than me 🤣

i have played bedrock for ages and i agree with McAlpake so you my freind need to stop trash talking and being a total turd java takes more skill becase its not spam based like your vocabulary

no my freind i can speak russain and german too so tell me what you can do ya jerk and also when playing minecraft Bedrock bedwars i also find many many hackers on allmost all servers also people useing autoclicker where on java they have better anti cheat for servers and such and useing auto clicker dont do much good becase you wont be doing any damage becase you have to time your shots well to do max damage another thing about java its mods right now are way way better than anything bedrock has and you can use shaders on java without rtx and then in bedrock unless you have really good phone you need rtx to run em for pc java also runs better and its fps boosters also are better and there is more texture packs there is the debug stick for building and building is also allready better and before you say oh well you cant do multi player like on bedrock well think again just use the mod called essential and you can now play with freinds wear cosmetics and more. so any more questions or are you hungry for more?
Do you know these languages well enogh to understand what is someone saying to you? I never found any hacker, bedrock is better version for vanilla, I do not care about debuck sticks or mods and from what I know PC players and therefore java players are the FPS maniacs. I don't care how much FPS I have as long as it doesn't stutter.
and yes i do understand what people are saying in those languages also you have to think its not just about how you see the game or how it runs just for you but for everyone and java just works better and is better so hah and also some people just need better fps i run the game around 40-60 fps with fps booster

If combat on bedrock was easier he wouldn't have any problem with health, and if it did't take any skill he wouldn't have problems with better players on bedwars
The fundamental 'problem' with br is that it's not java.
Due to limitations of the various devices for which the version that became br was designed, things work differently in the two versions which makes switching back and forth between them irritating at best.
For a non-gaming example of this: look at the keypads on a standard phone (123 across the top) compared to a standard keyboard (123 across the bottom).
Either is fine but if one is 'used to' one the other invites mistakes.
[Same thing with algebraic vs RPN calculators as another example]

you can't even mod minecraft bedrock anymore

but what about the mods and such that help the game? they lag wise or even just nice extra things that make the game a little bit better but dont ruin the game now those are mods that are nice
nah Java has more minor bugs but bedrock has way more game breaking and random death bugs

Ye especially since they use java pvp with bedwars lol.
They made the ranks subscriptions for whatever god-forsaken reason, and they're not adding the old gamemodes (ADD TD BACK!!!) anytime soon..
the only thing that *actually* sucks about bedrock edition is the loading times
you have to wait 2 minutes to even get TO the loading screen, and another 5 to get past THAT.

Bedrock isn't bad.

I feel like bedrock is just a different game than Java. Its combat does sucks- no strategy, all autoclickers and that there's virtually no health regen. I also despise the Marketplace because it feels so predatory - we don't need microtransactions in a block game, nor do we need to be paywalling people's creativity. I do understand that I'm stupid and people want to make money off of the marketplace, but I feel like a donation approach is better. (and we seriously don't need a skibidi toilet marketplace addon)
As for the servers thing, yeah. It's not Mojang's fault that the servers are worse-moderated, but the combat needs serious help.
Also, the Hive isn't that bad, have you seen Lifeboat? Or Mineville, or Enchanted Dragons. Those last two cost money to be able to even enter.
The one upside of bedrock is the easy multiplayer - no paying for a server or dealing with LAN, you can just join friends (I get that Essentials exists for Java, but still).

if you use stuff like Radmin I think you don't even need to be on the same wifi for LAN.

i would argue that being able to play with friends without having to host a whole server is convenient
and also to say I gotta say it, it just sucks. to game like this when java doesent even have a marketplace did you just the marketplace was nothing come on man
