Glares r kinds out of question for me and maybe for many of us...
The copper golem is pretty cool and is great for reds tone but I'm not much of a red stone fan for survival worlds, and it's texture is really bad ngl
The allay is soooooooooo useful for ANY survival world and is basically a flying hopper... Super good for farms

Functionality vs Aesthetics
Being a builder myself and less of a redstone junkie, it was a tough call -- between the cute golem and the useful allay. But, it will be helpful for the community to eventually have something to help with simplifying the sorting of non-stackable items which is a pain to make and bulky too.
So, Allay it is!
I hope someday Mojang makes all 3 options available and just provide a downloadable option to whichever the player prefers.

I doubt that. I think the copper golem and the allay are split evenly, so the vote will be really close. If they do a ‘vote one to be REMOVED from the vote’ like last year, it’ll be the glare

I don't want to be rude or anything, but can someone explain what the point of the allay is exactly? I guess you could use it in mob farms but apart from that...

Well, it randomly presses copper buttons so, redstone randomizer.
And when it oxidizes it becomes a statue, making an amazing decoration for steampunk type builds which'll probably be more common after 1.17, or just have them roaming around some abandoned steampunk styled build and that'd be awesome.

The allay will be great for auto farms, here is how
- It sees the dropped farm items on the ground from water
- When an observer notices items being picked up, it sends a signal
- That signal will go to noteblocks, attracting the Allay
- You will be at the noteblocks, and it will drop the items on you.
- You could have a hopper below you, linking into a chain, to go to a chest.

Not only this but it would be epic for Datapack creators to make pathfinding mobs

the one issue is that observers only detect blocks, not entities, but i feel like due to their design, the allay could go through walls like the vex which means that they could collect items from another room for you.

probably, definately seems like a close relative to the vex possibly a cousin or something lol wouldn't make much sense if it couldn't.

I vote for Copper Golem. Because with it we get two additional blocks and new unique mechanic. There are no any other mob that can interact with buttons. Don't actually see any use for Allay. I can pick up dropped items by my own, despite this items despawn after 5 minutes by default. And will Allay even work on unloaded chunks? Possibly no...

Don't forget to mention that the allay will literally never find anything to give you, since no one just randomly drops items on the ground..

I don t quite understant will the alley give u the item back plus some. Cuz it seems to me the alley is a dupe maschine lol
And the copper golem will be usefull beeing a statue or chunk loading .
