Mod help

so i have forge 1.7.10 but im switching to forge 1.8.1 and i have 1.8.1 mods, so do i put the mods in the same mod folder as my 1.7.10 mods or do i remove my 1.7.10 mods and then put my 1.8.1 mods in???

you will need to remove all your 1.7.10 mods first then add your 1.8 mods
