Mods don't work! Items are invisible!
Okay, so I have been having this problem for awhile now, ever since about the time I updated to 1.8.1. Every time I install a mod, whether it's the Portal Gun Mod or Clay soldiers mod, the images for the items are invisible! I use TooManyItems, and if you browse over the empty space under the last few default minecraft items, you can see the name of the items pop up, for example [Portal Gun, Red Soldier, Blue Soldier, etc] but they're not there! I have re-installed minecraft and had a completely fresh copy installed, and I installed three basic mods- Zombe Mod Pack, TMI, and Mod Loader. They all run perfectly. But it is to the point where I install another mod, that the items don't show up. I made sure that i'm installing them correctly by deleting META-INF, and I even used the Portal Gun mod installer. But still the same problem. Let me know if you need any more information. If you have any idea on how to fix this problem please let me know! Thanks!

I saw that at zombe's thread.
You need to update modloader.

I'm having the same problem and I've moved the images from the folders to where they go in the folders within the minecraft jar but still they show up invisible. This happens with minecolony and portal gun mod.

You don't just put the folder in if it has the name "item" "gui" or something that's already existing in the .jar, you drag the files from in that folder to the corresponding folder name.

Yes I am, the png files are within a folder in a download for the mod, I then put that folder in minecraft.jar (: Thanks for asking though

Your dragging in the png files right? without the png files the game has no image to reference to.
