I dont know if it is just me or if it is happening for other people as well, but starting yesterday a new layout appeared for the bar at the top.
Here is a picture about the subject if you dont understand what i am talking about:

Anyways, i dont really like this new layout and you kind of didn't give us any warning about it.

Personally I'm huge on organization and minimalism on my computer. I hide my taskbar, use only icons instead of text for buttons wherever possible, use a subtle and compact Firefox theme.
I very much like the new bar. It's still easy to find what I need through the dropdowns, but I can pin the things I use most which makes it more compact and organized, which obviously makes me enjoy it quite a bit.
If you would like it how it previously was, just pin most of the tabs but leave out ones you hardly use. It's not quite like how it was since not all of the tabs fit, but I think it should do fine.

I personally like it, like the stuff that you WANT is right there and not other stuff you don't usually check. You can pin the ones that you want right in front of you, more organized, but I see where other people are coming from...

Am I the only one that likes it? It's more organized. That's why I like it.

Guys, Cyprezz is planning on making a delay for the unpin button. So when you hover your cursor over the pinned tab, it takes a couple of seconds before it shows the unpin button.
And i'm getting used to it now

Awesome, this was actually helpful

It was either this, or make the buttons insanely small to click, because we were kind of running out of space at the top. If you have any other ways to organize the toolbar, then suggest away in the correct section (Site Discussion and Support).

How about we thicken the toolbar. Like have it 2 blocks high so we can fit everything in. Idk.

Can you send a link please?

Maybe this should have a poll

I don't like it. Everytime I want to see some cool mods I click unpin ,_,

Its like your browser. Say you open youtube, facebook and pmc. How would that look? Well you would have 3 sites open on your browser.
Think of PMC as a browser, then project, blogs, chat, forums as sites.
You can "pin" them meaning you can attach them to the main toolbar and click yourself from one place to another like the old toolbar

This.
I'll tell you how to do it, if you don't know. You go to the page that you want to pin. I have Forums, Blogs, & Chat pinned. So what I did, I went to the Chat page. I then hovered my mouse over top of the Chat section on the toolbar, and a little icon of a Pin should pop up. Click that and make sure it turns blue. Then if you leave that page, the chat page will still be on your toolbar.
You can do this with all of the pages, as far as I know.

Well, I'm going to do a pros/cons thing as well.
I personally kind of like it, because of the pin feature.
- Pros -
Looks more organized
Not all cluttered up there
You can actually 'pin' sections to your toolbar, so better customization
- Cons -
Feels Empty
The slightest bit annoying to have to click on Community/Browse
Although, Overall, I love the new toolbar. I'm sure there will be some sort of further changes though.

Well, change is eaither positive or negaive. Some more than the other I guess. You just as me have been here a while and we see changes comming in and we notice them. So lets look at the cons and pros of this new layout:
Pros:
-It gives a more structure to the site
-Everything you want is now catogorized and eaiser to find
Cons
-Looks like the toolbar is missing something and should be filled out with other stuff
-Its a bit annoying clicking on browse or community to find what you want to go in to(not that is is a huge problem)
All in all I think its ok to have it but they will change it someday, like they change the chat by removing PMCbot....
