1. The progress is that I spend yesterday and today planning a lot of stuff out, which has me pretty excited. Its going to look awesome. But at the same time its also adding a lot of extra work. I need to rebuild a couple of things and im adding an expansion to the city in the form of an island connecting to the cliff via a bridge.
But having these things planned out will allow me to jump straight into building again.
2. I don’t really have an option on them too much since I barely every play survival, but yeah they can be pretty annoying… and they’re just not useful

I have always like medieval, ancient china and japan. Once I was finished building my first city, medieval European, I wanted to move on to an Asian styled city.
My first biggest inspiration was an artwork of a Chinese city during the evening.

Originally I had planned to make this project way smaller. But to achieve this look of looking over a city, it couldn’t be too small.

Then some Minecraft build teams inspired me like Epicworck China, Minecraft_Lif and GNworck. They showed me how incredibly cool a large project like this could look. With the mountains and rice fields stretching out far from the city.

I have been looking from inspiration from real life a lot too, to name a couple:

• Yu botanical gardens Shanghai
• Old summer palace
• The Forbidden city
• Lijiang
• Japanese rice fields like Maruyama Senmaida & Hoshitoge no Tanada
• Phuong Hoang
• Chongqing
• Furong
• Countless of shinto shrines and temples
• Kyoto

This led the project grow bigger and bigger. And to me, wanting to build every house to be original and (hopefully) interiorised is something that comes from my own passion for the project.

In the end Katsugana is just a combination of everything i want to see in and around a city, inspired from my own ideas, concepts arts, real life, and a friend who helps me build.

I love watching most of the hermitcrafters. So I’ll say mumbo jumbo since he is the one who got me into hermitcraft in season 4.

My favourite thing to watch is definitely hermitcraft,

Rachel & jun: they live in japan, have 4 nice cats and just do stuff. First i found jun’s channel, jun’s kitchen where he cooks nice stuff
Rantoni: He reviews games. I like his personality, i also listened to his podcast he did together with his brother.
Serpent: Dutch YouTubers who plays games and tells interesting stories and facts during the gameplay

I very inconsistently play other games,
when i was younger i played games on the nintendo ds, some of my favs were mario & Luigi partners in time, mario boss, mario kart, Mario 64 and mario party.

some games I have played: Osu, broforce, saints row, shadows of mordor, some lego games, the binding of isaac, prison architect, Minecraft Storymode, team fortress 2, empire age. And im definitely forgetting a bunch.

I still play Mobile legends every now and then.
A game I really liked playing which i finished in a couple of weeks was Graveyard Keeper.

I knew this website ever since i was young, downloading my first ever maps from here too. Probably somewhere around 2013, i dont know how i found it exactly but i must have been looking for a fun map to download.
I made this account so i could share my project :) Im pretty proud of it, and i also like keeping the update log for myself and stuff.
