Hi, I've tried recording videos with OBS Studios but when I upload it it lags horribly, I've tried to fix this but it just wont work so I've abandoned it. Anyone know any other free recording software that I can use? (Got Windows 10)

Hey bro! You should use the windows 10 built in screen recorder NO LAG literally if your getting 100 fps you will keep getting 100 fps even when you start to record.
Here is a video I recorded using it..

That limits your FPS to 30, pretty bad.

There's nothing wrong with a 30 FPS video

Does your computer usually lag when recording? Sometimes you just have to change the encoder settings in OBS in order for it to work. Either that or your computer doesn't have enough memory to run it. If this is the case try CamStudio http://camstudio.org/ it's free and easy to use/setup. The only thing is you have to make sure your video output settings are correct! If you don't know how to just look it up on the website or youtube.

I use nchsoftware. It is not free but very handy. I use it to record my live game show. After I recorded, I will upload it online. Sometimes I meet with problems like you did. I just use some video converter. If it's avi files , I transfer avi to mpg, or avi to mp4. When files become smaller, it is easy to upload.

What is your processor and graphics card so i know if one of those causes the laggy videos from obs. But, try paid programs that also have trials such as fraps, dxtory, mirillis action.

It looks like you just need a better computer. OBS recording uses the CPU decently and with an old CPU like that, it won't be a good time.

What do you want to see?

You can try paid programs that have free trials but they all mostly have watermarks. What are your pc specs?
