Hi PMC,
I was wondering how you make a server's name colourful?
What I mean by that is when you create/add server in the client you can put in a server name and address. And recently I noticed out of no where a random server with colour in my server list it was called The Jung Family and it was in light blue.
So I wanted to do the same to some other servers to make them more organised but trying § doesn't work (Note I'm pressing alt 21 to make that).
Any ideas?
Also as a side note has anyone else seen The Jung Family popup on the top of their server list without adding it? Even better in colour?

You could edit the server save file by using an nbt editor to add the § symbol

You are talking about different things.
You have the name, motd (originally motto of the day, but it's rarely updated every day) and adress.
If you want to change the colour of the name, you need to dig into minecraft files...
The motd is decided by the server owner, this is what displays under the server name in the server list. You can't change that, if you are a server owner, you can edit this in server.properties.
