Submissions linked with servers

Why aren't the submissions linked with the server they're on? I know we have the option to add the IP to a submission but when I try to update my old ones or change the IP address it doesn't work. I don't know if it works with new submissions.
Also, it used to link servers to submissions and vice versa. Is this feature broken or removed?
I'm sorry if this issue was solved earlier. I tried to find it but didn't manage to find any good solution.

This was a question to the dev team / admins of this site so I'm sure you won't be able to help but I'll answer your question anyway.
Usually when you submit a project you have the option to type the IP of the server it's on. But doesn't show on the submission page. In the same way, once you provided the IP of the server, on the server page there should be a "submissions from this server" section.
