This Creative Commons Thing...
How to you get the license to use it?
Can someone just explain the whole thing?
I've seen somepeople on PMC that have a link to the CC website that is a license so people don't copy your work (Thats what it is, right?). Its mostly used on projects, but I've seen some blogs with it.
I was thinking of getting that for my PMC account, and was wondering how to do it..

Creative Commons is a license used for items that are allowed to be copied freely and without the authors consent, but must be credited to the author. Here it is in official terms:
You are free:
to share – to copy, distribute and transmit the work
to remix – to adapt the work
Under the following conditions:
attribution – You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work).
share alike – If you alter, transform, or build upon this work, you may distribute the resulting work only under the same or similar license to this one.

Well, not completely. It prevents people from stealing your work without crediting you. But personally, I don't think it's necessary. You probably aren't going to take legal action, and PMC prevents people from uploading unoriginal content by itself. Your pretty much protected as much as you can be already.
