Ugh! I can't apply Optifine to Forge!

Hey guys,
How do you apply OptiFine to Minecraft Forge 1.7.2? I'm having trouble doing this, I can't do much with Forge, much less OptiFine. I'm using Forge version 1065, if that helps. I'm playing on a server, and the lag that Forge creates isn't helping. =/

I'm using the right account, and I'm impatient. I have OF version HD_U_D1.

as i said optifine is buggy with forges code your gonna have to wait sorry

well right now optifine is kind of messy in code when its met with forge so really i would wait it out. you can try seeing if you have the correct optifine version and then making sure your on the correct minecraft launcher account. that's the thing off to the side where you change the version the correct account you use is forge which should be created once put in to MC
