Chrome is a pretty good browser, except for the fact that it uses so much RAM to run.

I tried Firefox a couple years back, now I've switched everything to it. I tried Opera GX, and it's cool, it just doesn't support Linux, and if you want the best performance out of midrange PC's, you are just automatically on Linux. (or I am anyway)

Let's go Firefox gang!

I tend to avoid first party software when I can, but I am not as picky as a lot of Linux guys are.

Google Chrome or another Chromium based browser?

I use Chrome. I've considered using Opera GX, and if both Opera and Chrome failed me for some reason I would consider Microsoft Edge to actually be a good quality replacement worthy of consideration (it's not built on top of the garbage old Internet Explorer, instead it's a modern Chromium based browser).
The main reason I don't switch off of Chrome is because I'm one of those weird people with a decent PC and a lot of memory that prefers to just leave tabs open indefinitely until I'm certain I never need to search up the information again. It just makes it a lot more tedious to change browsers.

haven't you heard about bookmarks? xD

I have saved on literally 10 years of not having to sort through thousands of bookmarks ever other week to keep them under control. The volume of stuff I do online just blows well beyond the capacity of my patience for managing them.

Honestly, bookmarks need to be reinvented. Sure you can categorize stuff, but you can only go so far with splitting them into useful categories - it can easily become a chore. Open tabs are about things that are "in your face" and easily accessible. Favorites are "out of sight, out of mind."
The main problem with bookmarks, in this regard, is that you can't filter them by date (or date range) of addition. That would make it easier to find something that you know is useful but you can't remember anything about the website or the title doesn't help at all. Browser history can help, but some people don't keep it indefinitely, and for those who do, it can be easily overwhelming, with hundreds or more entries per day. There needs to be a better system for keeping track of "interesting" pages, which is only partially possible with bookmarks.
