As cook, pancakes - they are much easier to make than waffles.
As a consumer, waffles - the crunch, and how it contains syrup in its little cells make for a better eating experience for me.

We don't like either, pancakes are sad, and even though waffles LOOK nice they still taste sad and they both stick to our teeth and when that happens we get bad headaches and so that's bad vibes.

I can't have either, they make me ill :/
But I sometimes I can have one of those really thin pancakes (crepes) with fruit and stuff. Oh and those tiny waffles when they are made with nut flours and such. But the actual like American bigger-is-better style? Uh uh.

We here in west Europe have pancakes which are thin, but not crepes.

i think i have a philosophical problem with waffles
like, yes, each of the square hole things can hold corned beef, corn bits, strawberry, or blueberry, though, a food item that requires a very specialized machinery to achieve this waffle production, which im not sure if it violates a law of simplicity
unless maybe thats the intention of the waffle, not a food itself to be compared to other types of bread, but instead is a base ingredient itself to whatever will be added to the hole, like a corned beef, corn bits, strawberry, bbq sauce, or blueberry, which helps the structural integrity
(do not question why i add corned beef to waffles, i live in a different part of the world)
