What is this contest?
This contest is a stress-free contest made to get some more terrain onto PMC :)

There is no specific theme to this contest, so go crazy :D
This contest is hosted by DeltaResearch. Discord contact for more info is Delta Research#8502.

When is the deadline?

The deadline is October 31st DECEMBER 31ST, 11:59 PM EST, but it will be changed/extended according to conditions.

What software/things can we use?
You may use any software/things provided it is not some sort of algorithm or website/software that gives you a heightmap of a real place. Hand terraforming/using WorldEdit or VoxelSniper is also encouraged.
Examples of things NOT allowed: Zhyrr's Multibiome Generator Macro, OpenTopography, etc.

Some software/plugins I suggest/use are:

Minecraft Specific:

World Painter
Non-Minecraft Specific:

World Machine
World Creator
World Synth

Are we allowed to work together?

Of course, you're allowed to work together :D But I put a max group size of 4.

What are the prizes?
Top 5 contestants will receive a mention on the final leaderboard!

The prizes are as follows:

1st Place: Two epic 1920x1080 or 2560x1080 renders, or one 3840x1080 render, your choice. +MYSTERY PRIZE(!)
2nd Place: One epic 1920x1080 or 2560x1080 render, your choice.
3rd Place: Honorary Mention of the podium
4th Place: Honorary Mention
5th Place: Honorary Mention

Rule Category 1: What you can use, etc.

1. No real-world heightmap data may be used in any way.
2. Algorithms/pre-made projects designed to churn out randomized worlds are strictly prohibited. I want you to make original, creative content, not stuff made by a script.
3. Plagiarism such as using other people's projects/worlds will result in immediate disqualification. Using other people's macros, brushes, etc. are ok.
4. Maps must be at the smallest 512 blocks square in world area.
5. Fixing things in-game is ok, but adding buildings or other structures is not allowed.
6. The map must contain a minimum of two biomes, no less.

7. The map must be 1.12.2 or higher, in vanilla world format with no modded blocks.

Rule Category 2: Presentation (How your map should be displayed on the PMC page)

1. There should be an adequate number of in-game screenshots either on the PMC page itself or in an image library to accurately depict the terrain.
2. Renders will affect your final grade minimally but will help make the map look nicer.
3. A download link of the map must be provided or else the map will be entirely judged by the screenshots provided.
4. Please credit trees/team members if they request so, but please still do because it shows good courtesy.

Awesome. Im probably gonna make 50 different attempts that go nowhere due to lack of direction (no theme is my weakness, too many ideas to focus on one), but at least I'll be making stuff to the best of my ability again.

I'm currently into drawing, so I probably won't participate, but I'm really looking forward to what the participants will do!
