This jam aims to create a giant castle with rooms made by various people. Once the jam ends, the rooms will be combined into one giant castle and uploaded with everyone who worked on it credited both in the map, and on the submission page.

Rules:
1. Each submission should only be 1 room. There should be at least 2 doors to allow it to connect to others. (The 2nd door may be removed if no room connects.)
2. Each user may submit up to 3 rooms. These rooms can be anything from hallways, to libraries, to multiple armories.
3. Once the jam ends, please allow up to 2 weeks for me to combine them, and complete the exterior.
4. You can also submit exterior exclusive sections (Gatehouses, bridges, courtyards) if that's what you'd prefer.
5. The rooms you make MUST be compatible with vanilla Minecraft 1.21, but you can use mods like Worldedit to assist with building.
6. Once the castle is assembled it will be available to download for everyone.
7. Have fun! Go crazy! Your rooms can be as big or wildly different as you want! This castle should be a great showcase of the community's skill and creativity! There is no entry skill level, or limit for how much detail you can add! Whether it's a massive gothic cathedral, or just a small bathroom, all submissions are welcome!
8. Only 1 throne room is allowed. All other rooms can be made in any quantity.

Once the jam ends, if you wish to help with the exterior just send me a message. I'd be glad to have help with it!

Submissions close July 19 at 5pm

Quite an interesting idea…

You've not said, but I'd guess you want straight vanilla (no texture/model/etc changes)…

EDIT:
Is there a preferred/required biome[s]?
(Mainly important if using snow golems / snow layers, but also changes the colors of some blocks. )

Correct. I want this jam to be completely vanilla, but still have room for creativity (simple command blocks). The goal is to have a nice looking castle that people can paste into their world once it's done. There would be a wall of builders near the entrance to credit everyone. The 2 submitions I've added to start can give somewhat of an idea of what i mean by individual rooms, although they don't HAVE to be that size. If you're interested in taking part by all means go ahead! Wether this jam ends with just 3 rooms submitted, or 50, I'll take the time to pretty it up to make a nice castle.

Those are useful (something I'd not thought to is scale, but the tables & chairs in the two initial rooms look to be 1:1 player scale)

I prefer to use materials that would make sense for the structure (wooden, brick, or stone roofing for example.) instead of just going for color (No coral in roof for the color.). The main reason for no texture packs is because I will be copy pasting the rooms together into a single world. Having multiple texture packs could get messy. That goes for add-ons too. (Too much stuff would over complicate things for me, as I will be the one putting the castle parts together. Could also cause errors.)

Sorry if my comments are a bit too long. I'm still getting used to actually posting stuff publicly, and I'm not the best talking to people.

I'm the last person to complain about comment length — better to make it long enough to cover the material than scrimp and leave unanswered questions.

Yes, that was why I was thinking you'd want straight vanilla (too much chance of different people overwritting the same texture etc)
