Event Conclusion
We recently hosted our first Bedrock Edition community event with NVIDIA.The challenge was simply to see what can be accomplished when Minecraft has RTX ON.
We received 42 creative entries that showcase real time ray tracing! Some entries had to overcome the challenge of entering. As a predominately Java Edition community, it was interesting to shine the spotlight on Bedrock Edition. In the end, we're all playing the same amazing game together.

Thank you so much for participating in this Minecraft Event. We loved all the entries and appreciate your efforts. We hope to do future events on Planet Minecraft and are excited for the future of Minecraft with RTX for Windows 10!

Without further ado, the winners are...
Trip to the Grid by G3N3ZIS G3N3ZIS created a custom TRON inspired PBR resource pack and world that truly highlights what makes RTX impressive. The pack and map are designed to work in concert showcasing how light affects the environment from emission, refraction and shadows. In other words, "Biodigital Jazz man" G3N3ZIS live streamed much of his process and plans to continue his creative journey with PBR textures and RTX content. Visit his entry or profile to learn more.  | Sanctuary of the Gods by Nereid_ -AutomailED- created a polished work of art showcasing 4 mythological creatures among the Chinese constellations. The themed map is beautifully composed and enhanced with RTX lighting on the creatures and environment. Congrats Nereid_ |

I am humbled and giddy at the same time and just want to express my thanks for your support and all the kind words you have shared with me during this event. Many of your entries fellow participants were incredibly inspiring. I thought several times "oooh, I would love to do that" and on one map I saw something that had been done in a way that I couldnt understand how it was done. So I opened up an empty map, stared at it for a long time thinking... Now... how did they do this.... π and then I started experimenting until I figured it out.
I love interaction like that between us artists, designers, and content creators. I want to use this opportunity to acknowledge your hard work, skills, and passion and I look forward to see more from your work.
