Photo Challenge - Indoors Edition

A lot of us are staying at home as much as possible these days.
Let's have some photography fun during our time inside the house, with this indoor photography challenge! 😁
Photograph your pets, household objects, textures, craftwork, stuffed animals, toys, foods, houseplants... and so on!

The challenge is to:

Take at least three photographs inside your house.
Submit your photography in a blog post in the art category.
[Optional] Edit your photos (< easy tutorial!) to really get the best out of your photos!
Link your photoblog in the comments on this forum thread.

🏅 If you complete the challenge before the deadline of April 20, you will receive a pixel-art participation badge for your unofficial trophy case.

Important rule: do not submit photos of household members without their consent, nor of any person, including yourself, under the age of 18!

But wait, there's more!

(* If you take a photo of, for example, the texture of a plant, you've got both prompts in one picture! \o/ That counts too!)

Try to look at the things around you from a new perspective. Look for light dancing on the walls, interesting textures of things you never really take a closer look at, visually appealing compositions of color. Discover something extraordinary in what may feel like just your ordinary house.

Some help

How to insert photos in a blog post.

1. Upload your image to a website (image-host) like Imgur if it is not on any website yet. You need an image URL (link), which you can get for almost any image on websites by right-clicking it and choose "copy image location". Find a more detailed tutorial for getting an image URL at this link.

2. Click the "Insert/edit image" button on your forum post editor and paste the URL (link) in there in the "URL" field under Insert link.

Done! :D

Tip: to add two or more photos side by side, you can use a table and place each photo inside a cell.

Using your existing art blog for this challenge.

Perhaps you already have a blog post in which you collect all of your non-Minecraft artwork and photography. If you have one of those and want to take part in this challenge, you can choose to update your existing art blog with your challenge photos instead. When you choose to do this, please write an update log to point out which photos are for the challenge, in order to be able to get the participation badge.

Photography tips

- Play around with the settings on your (phone) camera to get the best sharpness, lighting, and quality for your photos.
- Wait for the right time of day to take your photos. Sometimes light shines inside beautifully.
- Editing photos can be easy and done using free programs. Give it a try! It can really add to your photo.
- Take a lot of different photos of different things in different places from different angles. And take some versions of the same photo too! > Not all shots have to be perfect right away. Experiment! Then make a careful selection afterward of just the best ones.
> Unless you use a film roll or polaroid camera. In that case, consider carefully!
