Heads up! This is not an official PMC event, this is just an event hosted by That1Rand0mChannel-SBCDev, this thread just has a layout similar to official PMC events to make things look fancier and neat.

⛏ 10 Blocks, Many Choices!
What if you had to texture 10 blocks? That's why this contest exists, silly!
You must use the template pack
Instead of making your resource pack entry the normal way, this contest requires you to download the template pack to use since this contest is for you to experiment with the terrain.png type system that is used in the Terrain PNG Reborn Resource Pack, terrain.png for 1.17+.
This system simplifies resource pack creation, you will only need to go into terrain.png to edit the block textures. Like said, use the template pack!
1. Textures must be new and made for this contest.
I have not and will not accept any copies or re-posts for this contest, nor do I accept textures created before the contest's announcement date.
Do not submit copies, or paint-overs, of skins found in any existing texture packs or mods, even if you are the original author.
Do not submit existing member submissions, from this site or others. This includes your own galleries.
Do not submit copies of default or programmer art textures from the minecraft.jar
With this being said, you are allowed to post recolors of the default or programmer art textures as long as it's unique and different from the source material
2. Textures must be valid
Don't post any other resolutions besides the Default Texture Resolution. The resolution is limited to the default texture resolution to give everyone a fair advantage in this contest.
3. Submit something you made, entirely by yourself. Teaming up is an exception.
Skins that are obvious remixes, recolors, or blatant copies of other people's work are not acceptable. Your entry will be disqualified from the contest if you are found to be submitting stolen work.
4. One entry per person/team.
Each user/team can only enter one entry for this contest to keep things fair.
You may edit your entry for as long as the contest submission period is open. If you decide to change your submission at any point, you are free to do so. Please don't delete your submission if you don't like it. Instead, you should use the "update submission" button on your active submission, then save the new file over your old one. Remember to change the submission title and description if necessary!
5. The contest is running for about 2 weeks!
Post dates must be made before August 13th, 2021 @ 3:00 PM EST
Entries submitted after this date will not be accepted.
Entries will be judged on August 12th, 2021 @ 6:00 PM EST, keep in mind that the contest will still accept entries around this time.
The contest will be concluded on August 13th, 2021 @ 3:00 PM EST
6. Take your time!
You are more likely to score higher if you take your time and put effort into the block textures.
7. Judging Criteria
The more effort and work put in, the higher score you get!
Download the template pack, unzip the zip, then inside the template pack, go to "assets/minecraft/textures/terrain", that's where terrain.png is located.
Open terrain.png with any editing software of your choice and modify these block textures to you're liking with the rules in mind: Stone, Grass Block, Dirt, Sand, Gravel, Cobblestone, Furnace, Crafting Table, Bricks, Glass
You can also change pack.png and pack.mcmeta
After you're done, private message or comment on this thread the download link to your entry. Mediafire, google drive, and dropbox are preferred. Make sure to describe what you're resource pack is about!

Their entry is fantastic! The enhanced textures are nicely drawn, yet they don't go far off the vanilla textures, so you can still tell which block is which!

Looks like the house we were gonna buy had a pest record, so we've decided to cancel moving as a whole. Our current house is just fine, nothing special, but we'll probably just give it 5 years or something until we decide to move again. Due to this, I will be able to judge again, but we'll still let Emma393Lili judge too.

The cobblestone, bricks, and dirt texture haven't been modified much, so I recommend changing them up a bit.
But I gotta say, that's a unique texturing choice!

Looks great! But you may have forgotten to change the grass overlay. The grass side texture was changed but the overlay remained un-changed, creating a confusing look. To update the grass overlay, look in the terrain.png file, you will find this texture, this is the grass overlay texture, remember to keep the gray palette!:
