Today, we've rolled out two alternative content action locations! Yeaaaa! Wait, what?
You know these...
Except, now you can click the vertical dots to change where they appear.
The Side Sticky placement will remove the embedded actions moving main content up, it's compact and easy to access and follows you all the way down the page until the comments.
The Bottom Sticky placement includes a quick comment form plus the embedded actions are removed moving main content up, it's easy to access and follows you all the way down the page until the comments:
Mobile devices now have a dedicated bottom sticky action bar putting everything at your finger tips without ever having to search for them again.
Overall, this update aims to make it easier for everyone to give feedback whether it's a diamond or a personalized review. We hope you find them handy and if not, you can always go with the traditional embedded version.

But why did the front page also changed? I used to see new uploads on the main page, but now it's gone. And this affects my maps too. Since this change, I see lower downloads of my maps.
Do you think you could add bottom sticky and also keep the diamond and favourite buttons in their original position?

Is it possible to change it on mobile?
As of last Friday, you can now switch from bottom to embedded placement on Mobile. Click the three vertical dots on the action bar as you would on desktop.

I now have returned to the page embed version but since then I have major Problems with the page itself. None of these buttons are working anymore. For example if I hover over a the diamond it gets coloured but nothing happens when pushig it. Also I can only see the major picture of any project - the bar where the other pictures can be picked is now black and it doens't help to reload the page. I checked it on my PC and my Laptop and with Firefox and with Edge (also with deactivated addblocks). Always the same. Anyone else having problems with the page embed version now?

I can't see these options anywhere. Do I have to enable it somehow?
next to the heart and diamond buttons will be a "..." button. from there you can choose where you would like the buttons to be located

I don't like any of these - the old way was better. Is there a way to get to old static version right under the picture without "scrolling with" back? At least an option wwould be nice.
Personally, I think the original is ceeping it the most simple.
I can't seem to find a way to enable Dark Mode back on
Are you on mobile? This is second report I've seen about this but I can't seem to reproduce the issue. The toggle for dark mode doesn't appear?

why this update?
i'm not sure if it has something to do with this update, but sometimes the content actions aren't working for me. i will be on a submission page and attempt to give it a diamond, favorite it, or add it to a collection, but nothing will happen. it seems like that part of the site isn't consistently loading for me, and it takes several refreshes to make it work. i'm using firefox on a win10 machine, if that's relevant, and the same problem happens when i try in troubleshooting mode (no extensions).
hm, i just noticed that i can't view the schemagic tab on any of the affected pages, either.
It's probably related. Can you open a ticket or provide a link to an affected page. Sounds like javascript error.
sure, here's one of the pages that's given me that problem. here's another one, in case that helps narrow it down at all, i noticed it on at least ~25ish pages.

When it fails, can you check the console for errors? Open your console with Shift + CTRL + J

I don't know how I feel about the Side Sticky one, the rest are fine but It feels off with the side sticky. Just my opinion tho
My brain wants that side sticky to be on the right instead of the left.
More options for users is rarely a bad thing…
For me the default appeared to be the side position;
NOTE: one may need to zoom out the page to be able to see the option to change back to the previous standard "Page Embed"

Hmm, I'll adjust the position of that submenu to open up instead of down.
Love it! Though, since its just been released I'm assuming the current bugs will be sorted out in the near future haha.

I'll try to recreate the draft issue. Not sure why it would matter what state the content is in.
The fold down menu should now detect if it's going to go beneath the visible space and instead render up now.

Click the three vertical dots and then select "Bottom Sticky" from the Content Actions selection.

Looks cool, nice to have options.
With that being said, it switched by default to side sticky, and this is as far down as it goes without me entering fullscreen or zooming out, meaning if I didn't know better I would think this is the only option (it also hides the report flag which is also pretty bad to hide). It would be appreciated if you bound the dropdown to the screen when need be instead of always-always having it start from the mouse. =P
