Happy Weekend! In this weekly, we cover some amazing art including 3D modeling, pixel art and a digital drawing! We also cover an HD villager skin... but it's not quite a villager anymore. You'll find a couple of data packs, new community contests and more! There is no interview in this weekly. We will resume interviews in the next volume!

AWESOME ART
We're kicking this section off with some art submitted this week! Nitgo updated his art blog to include his latest pixel art. The Outerspace scene looks like it should be in a video game. We can imagine being the commander of the spaceship, blasting off from one planet to the next in search for extraterrestrials!
Chimp by Sully was made with block bench, and as Sully teases in the submission description, "Might be added to Sully's Mod". If you're not sure what Sully's Mod is, it's a mod that adds several new elements including mobs, blocks, plants and effects. The turtle in the chimps photo above is included in this mod! Be sure to subscribe to Sully to be notified when they've updated their mod!  Chimps by Sully |  Behind the Screen by Michiru After almost twenty hours of work Michiru finished the art you see above. This is their 1,500 subs celebration artwork, which is also a self-portrait! Michiru states: "As you can see, the shading style is more complex than my usual stuff, and the reason why I don't often draw like this is because it takes waaaayy more time. Also, the perspective of the floor may look a little weird, but I am not really used to draw backgrounds." |
SUPERIOR SCI-FI SKIN One of our favorite skins this week was made by SolarSimonDM and is an HD remake of the villager. This villager, however, isn't like the others and is titled "Humanoid Modern Mechanism" (H.M.M. for short). As the submission reads: "In the not-so-near-future, a group of scientist villagers decided that the system of "Iron Golem security" is too old-school for their rapidly growing needs. So, using all new copper-wiring, amethyst glass casing and a netherite nucleus heart, they put together a robot that best encapsulates their technology! Thing is, they were so busy adding the new features in that they forgot to make it efficient in any way, making the H.M.M. act exactly like a normal villager." |  |
| DEATH BY DATAPACK One of the most popular data packs submitted this week was Death Note Mode by Himaru. This pack simulates what it would be like to play Minecraft if the Death Note* anime notebook fell into the world. The mode works through a command that makes up a list of rules and Minecraft beings in which it is possible to kill any of them with this book. Based on the screenshots included with the submission, you can kill several mobs in Minecraft at once. Niiiiice. *Death Note is a horror/mystery/thriller anime series that first aired in 2006. |  |
| MORE MOB DROPS Our second featured data pack is a bit lighter than the previous feature; Alternative Mob Drops by MisterSandman. Instead of killing mobs, this pack adds new custom mob-based items, adding more variety into your Minecraft world! Things that were added include: Pig Tails, Bat Wings, Ragged Cloth, Wither Bone, Calamari, Soul Essence and more. |  |
| SUBMISSION CELEBRATION As a celebration of their 100th submission, ZappyGru published a timeline of their evolution of skinning.
