Each of them brings unique strengths, a passion for the community, and a shared dedication to keeping PMC a welcoming, fun, and safe place for all. As Site Moderators, they’ll help maintain the quality of our content, ensure discussions remain respectful, and assist members with any questions or concerns. In addition, they bring their own creative energy to the team, and we’re excited to give them and or develop the tools to inspire and empower you with some fun and engaging ideas!
We also want to extend a huge thank-you to everyone who applied. The level of interest and thoughtful replies received was impressive, and there were more qualified applicants than we currently need or feel comfortable promoting all at once. What many people don't realize is that what once you become a mod, you are instantly viewed differently.
Your old life on PMC isn't gone, but it isn't the same anymore.
People will be jealous, people will start sucking up to you, you'll start getting hate mail, and you'll find it harder to make new friends because people will get all nervous about your fancy yellow name. This isn't a strict rule, but it is common.
However, on the plus side, you are now able to impact PMC in ways you were never able to do before! You can now help guide the future of this community, and help maintain its integrity.
You'll also get to experience helping people and them expressing their gratitude for the help. Yes there is hate mail, but there is also a lot of moments where you feel like you made a difference.
All that to say, buckle up new mods! Your name has now gone down in the PMC history books as a PMC mod. Think of the well over 50+ mods who have come before you, over the past 14 years! You now get to help carry on the legacy.
