Deleting META-INF folder crashes Minecraft?

Trying to install Modloader for Minecraft by inserting the files in Minecraft.jar. When I delete the META-INF folder, Minecraft crashes when I try to play it. Any help?

I don't think the META-INF file is the issue, but likely is a modloader issue. It could have been a human error. Just get a fresh jar file and try again, then if the issue is fixed, have fun!

The same thing happened when I deleted META-INF while trying to install Mine Little Pony mod (Non Modloader edition).

that's quit a big mod try to get more ram on your pc
