I'm sorry, but that is way wrong. The sky is blue during the day because the atmosphere filters out a lot of light wavelengths, leaving blue. It's pink during sunrise/set because the light has more atmosphere to pass through at that angle, filtering out yet more wavelengths and leaving pink, red, purple, etc.
