Hey fellow PMC members.

We'd like to give you a heads up regarding quoted messages and spam. Curious? Read on.
A majority of the members who use the forums have no knowledge of this, hence the reason I decided to create a topic to notify you all.

When you accord to a former post created by another member, quoting it then leaving no text/message below the quoted post is considered spam.
An example is:


There are reasons behind this that will follow and they are similar in relativity to one another:

-Your post does not contribute anything to the thread. It will show agreement, but we'd rather have a diverse set of posts composed of users' opinions rather than the same old post being quoted simultaneously without the user explaining their opinion towards this post/why they quoted it.

-Quoted posts lacking additional text from the user who quoted it won't help the OP significantly, and nor will it benefit the thread itself. The original post made in the purpose of giving advice or an opinion will help the member, but quoting it then leaving nothing behind is basically creating a duplicate message of the original post, another thing that frowns upon our rules as it is also considered spam.

Hopefully that'll clear things up. It'll benefit the forums and the avoidance of spam as well. Happy forum surfing,
