Building a Mansion and Need Advice

I'm working on building a really nice and hopefully big mansion in Minecraft (See images below)and I need some advice and suggestions, which are listed below. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
1) Should I keep the outside color red (Red concrete) or change it to color/material?
2) Should I change how the entryway looks? If so how should it be changed? (Note: it is not in it's finally location)
3) Should I change the overall look of the front and if so how?
4) What would be a good layout for the first floor?
5) Should I have an open layout or make rooms (ex. living room, kitchen, bathroom, etc
6) Should I open up the kitchen area?
7) Where should I put the dining room? The area to the left of the kitchen or in the area in front on the kitchen?
8) Where should I put the stairs to the 2nd floor?
