Whats the MOST useless thing ever in minecraft?

i like to make lots of custom potions in minecraft and i would put them into a trading system i like to do that alot but some times i don't know what to use for them as currency i like them to trade valuable stuff. some times i would make a custom item and use that in the trading system too but i need to know so that i don't use that item.
also please give me ideas for more potions if you leave an idea ill make that and ill put it in the big chest im putting everything in.

I like bats, they're fun on my roleplay server, chasing them around, and I have spongerestore. Sponge also makes cool coral.

Actually, rubies were in snapshots and were changed to emeralds later. It's still in the texture files if you want to see them.

In multiplayer, at least, I actually use sponge quite often, if I can get my hands on it that is.

actally sponge can clear up water fast. also for who ever said dog i laugh (LOL). Dogs can help you fight if anything it is squid.

ACTUALLY! Technically EVERYTHING in minecraft, even bats is useful! (you can use them to see if something is too dark!!!) Name something else! I can come up with a use!

Bats. Other than letting me know that there's a cave under my house, they serve no other purpose aside from piercing my eardrums.

A few points of why these things are "useful"
Bats- They look cool and would be great for horror themed maps and you can use command blocks to make creepers ride them. A flying creeper is a scary screeper
Silverfish- GREAT for EXP farming, as they hide in blocks, search silverfish exp farms on Google and watch the madness
Netherwarts- Potions
Dirt- I don't know WHY someone said dirt but... farming, turns into Grass/Mycellium etc. and Passive mobs need to spawn on Grass(except Ocelots and other types if I missed any)
Sponge- Looks AWESOME, it did have a use of absorbing water but yeah... pretty useless now.

Player: You got an iron pick? I ran out of iron making some bars, and my mines a few blocks away...
Villager: Yup, that'll, uhhh, be... 9 emeralds.
Player: What?! I don't even have 3 emeralds, and I've been playing this game for 4 months!
Villager: Well, uhhh, I've got some, uhhh, chainmail armor, for, uhhh, 19 emeralds. Or maybe some, uhhh, bread for 3 emeralds.

Why is everyone saying bats? Bats are adorable, that is there purpose. In my opinion. Most useless thing in survival is red sand, it's just retextured sand xD

golden hoes... quite expensive, and less durability than the cheap, easy to get wooden hoes

Sponge. To my knowledge it isn't even useful for BUD switches anymore.
Not to mention they look bad.

The rest of the stuff however is either used in a recipe or two or is a building block.

The only two things that are ACTUALLY useless are sponge and bats. Everything else has some purpose even if it's just decoration.

Bats! Sponge actually still works. Dont believe me go under water and try it! It creates a 3x3x3 hole of air in the water. Everything else has a use except for dead bush as well. Bats give no EXP, they're annoying for maps and are everywhere. Dead bush, its only purpose is interior decoration.

The only wood type i would remove is jungle, but then I guess we wouldn't have jungle leaves so idk
