    Non-playable characters
    Important characters
Samson (JP: サムソン Samuson) is Filia's Parasite. Samson's location on Filia gives her the appearance of a Futakuchi-onna, a Japanese demon with a second mouth on the back of its head.

Avery (JP: エイブリー Eiburī) is a small blue-fanged bipedal peacock dressed like his "boss" Peacock, has tail feathers resembling Peacock's Argus System and pure black eyes resembling Peacock's hollow eye sockets, where her eyes had once been before she was maimed as a slave.
Having been created by the Avery Unit, one of the two of Peacock's Synthetic Parasites, capable of manipulating space and reality, summoning objects and creating sentient beings, such as Avery himself and Andy Anvil, Tommy Ten-Tons, George Bomb and Lonesome Lenny. Together, the five strange beings become Peacock's friends and a squad that protect Peacock and help her defeat the Skullgirl.

Andy Anvil (JP: アンディー・アンヴィル Andī Anviru) is a character in Skullgirls. He is currently one of Peacock's assist characters, but may become DLC in a future installment of the game.
A figment of Peacock's warped imagination made flesh... er... steel. One of the unexpected results from Patricia's use of the Avery Unit, Andy and his buddies are based on her favorite cartoons. What they do when their creator is not around remains a mystery.

Tommy Ten-Tons (JP: トミー・テントンス Tomī Tentonsu) is one of Peacock's friends. Like the rest of her gang he was inspired by characters from her favorite cartoon.

Leviathan (JP: レヴァイアサン Revaiasan) is Squigly's Parasite and a rival to Samson. He is serpentine in appearance and coils around his host's body, as well as partially going through her head.

Sekhmet (JP: セクメト Sekumeto) is Eliza's Parasite. She replaces Eliza's skeleton and allows her host to absorb the blood of others to remain eternally youthful, as well as manipulate her own cells (in the appearance of blood) to use as a weapon. While she and Eliza appear to have mostly combined into one personality over the years, during combat Sekhmet seems to be more vicious and sadistic.
Although there is a stigma against people with Parasites, this is not a problem for this duo as Sekhmet is typically hidden inside Eliza herself.

Sagan (JP: セーガン Sēgan) is Annie's remote Parasite. He resembles a stuffed rabbit, and stores Annie's right eye inside of his mouth. He is capable of enhancing Annie's powers, replicating her swords, carrying a large amount of people as a sack and can be ridden as a flying scooter, with handlebar-like ears.

Adam Kapowski (JP: アダム Adamu) is a high ranking officer of The Black Egrets.

Molly (JP: モリー Morī) is the Communications Officer for the Black Egrets.

Dr. Avian (JP: エイヴィアン博士 Eivian-hakase) was the director of Anti-Skullgirl Lab 8, and was also the doctor responsible for creating Peacock, Big Band, Leduc, Hive, and several others. He rescued Peacock after she was mutilated by slave traders and rebuilt her to be able to defeat the Skullgirl.

Leduc (JP: レデューク Redyūku) is a possible upcoming DLC character.

Hive (JP: ハイヴ Haivu), like Leduc, calls the Anti-Skullgirl Labs home. Nothing about her appearance in the story gives a hint of her abilities or fighting styles as a playable character. Dr. Avian may have built her just to hang around in the background of Lab 8, doing her best to be prissy and aloof. Though thanks to her DLC picture, Hive looks much more battle ready. Her past remains a mystery.

Stanley Whitefin (JP: スタンレー・ホワイトフィン Sutanrē Howaitofin) is a Dagonian scientist but prefers to fade into the background at work, not that he is always successful. Stanley originally helped develop weapons in the now disfunctional Lab 4, but following the surprise attack on Lab 8 it became clear the ASG needs all the (fish)power it could afford. He brings his previous inventions out of storage to fight alongside the soldiers, because the ASG Labs know better than to have a shark without a frickin’ laser beam...

Brain Drain (JP: ブレイン・ドレイン Burein Dorein) is a non-playable character and antagonist in Skullgirls.
At Combo Breaker 2024, he was announced to appear in Skullgirls Mobile as a Guest Star.

Minette (JP: ミネット Minetto) is a character in Skullgirls, introduced in the storyline of Ms. Fortune. She's the daughter of the River King and an unknown Dagonian. She is living and working in Little Innsmouth for Yu Wan's restaurant as a waitress.
She will be appearing in Skullgirls Mobile as a Guest Star.

Yu-Wan (JP: ユーワン Yūwan) is a Dagonian from the Dragon Empire who moved his business to the Canopy Kingdom, more specifically Little Innsmouth. Outside helping Ms. Fortune get back on her feet, he was hoping to sit back and run a regular business. But with the whole community in a crisis, it might be time to dust off his old skills and teach some young punks some manners.

Irvin (JP: アーヴィン Āvin) is a private detective working in the Canopy Kingdom. He is characterized as being stoic, taciturn and mysterious.

Lorenzo Medici (JP: ロレンツォ・メディチ Rorentso Medichi) is the current head of the Medici Mafia, as well as the Medici family. He is one of the primary antagonists of the game.

Vitale (JP: ヴィターレ Vitāre) is a high ranking member of the Medici Mafia, Cerebella's foster father, and is a minor antagonist in Skullgirls. According to the official Skullgirls website, Vitale is Lorenzo's son. In his father's absence he is left in charge of the family.

Franz Renoir was the king of the Canopy Kingdom, thus the husband of Nancy Renoir and the father of Parasoul and Umbrella, who inherited his red hair (somewhat, in the case of the latter). He wielded one of the Renoirs' Living Weapons called Eroberung, an umbrella-shaped firearm.
Known for his ruthlessness, he was responsible for much growth in the kingdom, but they were largely due to his many war campaigns. It was during this time that he authorized the creation of the Anti-Skullgirl Labs. However, his war efforts were put to an end when his wife became the Skullgirl. Although he was also responsible for the Labs' decommissioning, they were restarted in secret after his disappearance.
During the war, with the help of the Gigan leader Gilgamesh, King Franz was able to take down Nancy. However, he was seemingly decapitated by her living weapon Todd in the process.

The Skull Heart is a powerful sentient artifact that plays a major part in the Skullgirls story. Every seven years after its previous destruction, it reappears to grant a wish to a woman. The wish can be of incredible magnitude, but it comes at a great price. The Skull Heart often twists even selfless wishes into brutality, ending wars by causing even more destruction, bringing back a loved one as an undead minion, and in return inhabits the body of the woman who wished upon it, in time turning the woman into a Skullgirl. A murderous, extremely powerful woman corrupted by the Skull Heart, capable of raising corpses as mindless minions, bringing about destruction in an endless cycle with the purpose of one day ending the world.

Queen Nancy Renoir (JP: ナンシー王女 Nanshī-ōjo) was the former queen of the Canopy Kingdom, wife of King Franz, mother to Umbrella and Parasoul, and the last Skullgirl before Marie. She wielded the scythe/umbrella Living Weapon called Todd.

Selene Contiello (JP: セレーネ・コンティエロ Serēne Kontiero) is the mother of Squigly and wife of Roberto Contiello. She was the Skullgirl before Queen Nancy.

Aeon (JP: アイオーン Aiōn) is a character seen in Black Dahlia's, Double's and Robo-Fortune's story ending. She is seen playing Skullgirls with Venus.
Aeon is the Trinity's reclusive goddess of time who observes history from beyond this world. Using her Parasite, Khronos, she is able to manipulate multiple timelines, watching how they play out while snagging the occasional collectible. Is her appearance in the roster merely a phantom possibility from another timeline, or did she find the means and willpower to venture out of the comfort of her own home?
She is mentioned in Eliza's Story Mode, when Double accuses the diva of killing her and Venus during her reign of terror as Neferu.

Venus Lovelace (JP: ヴィーナス Vīnasu) is a character seen in Black Dahlia's, Double's and Robo-Fortune's story ending. She is seen playing Skullgirls with Aeon.
Venus is the Trinity's restless goddess of space, wielder of the otherworldly Parasite, Abaddon. She grows tired of waiting for Mother's plan and calls upon her unwilling foothold on the outside in a small act of rebellion. Her physical form is deceptive, as the true nature and size of Venus and Abaddon exist beyond the threshold of human comprehension.
She is mentioned in Eliza's Story Mode, when Double accuses the diva of having killed her and Aeon during her reign of terror as Neferu.

    Mother

Very little is currently known about her, she hasn't even made a physical appearance nor has she been given a name, she is simply referred to as "mother" by Aeon and Venus. Her shadowy appearance has been shown on the wall on her daughters' room while they were playing Skullgirls, she informs the two that dinner is ready. She tells them to stop playing their video games and to come down to eat before their dinner gets cold. Aeon then asks to give them a second so that she could save her game.
Eliza's Story Mode implies that she was once a queen named Lamia, of whom Double is a shadow. The Skull Heart on the other hand was likely created by her.
    Minor characters
Aileen is a supporting character who appears in Annie's Story Mode from Skullgirls 2nd Encore. After winning an essay contest hosted by Florence, she was given the opportunity to spend an entire day with Annie.

Albus (JP: アルバス Arubasu) is one of Eliza's bodyguards, along with Horace, from Skullgirls.

Amelia Medici was Filia's mother, and the wife of Marcus Medici.

Beatrix (JP: ビアトリクス Biatorikusu) is a fiercely competitive magician hoping to dethrone Cerebella's current popularity to replace her, both at the circus and as an agent of the Medicis. Beatrix wears the Cloak of Damocles, allowing her to carry and apply an impossible array of props with some risk. She combines its genuinely supernatural properties with old fashioned sleight of hand for attacks nobody can see coming. She is noted for her skill, but is described by Black Dahlia as "wearing her ambitions on her sleeve" and Feng as "an envious little ball of hate".

In Cerebella's origin story in Skullgirls Mobile, she is one of three candidates chosen for a mission for the Medicis, alongside Cerebella and Feng. She passes the first and second tests, but fears Feng will outdo her, so she uses the Cloak of Damocles to hide the prize Feng was supposed to retrieve for Taliesin, causing Feng to lose. In the third and final test where she must fight Cerebella, she throws a barrage of knives at Vitale, who is spectating the fight, knowing Cerebella would go out of bounds to protect him. While Cerebella is technically disqualified and Beatrix wins, Vitale convinces Dahlia to give the job to Cerebella, since she saved his life whereas Beatrix attacked him. Beatrix, infuriated by the loss, is then given a stack of poker chips for her "efforts".

    Christmas
    — Acting as the team leader, she was strict and solemn when training the team and carrying out missions. She used a scalpel shaped sword, as well as multiple regular scalpels for long-range. She was killed distracting Double so Valentine could face Marie one-on-one.

Patty — The only Feral of the team. Chiefly wielding an IV staff, she was the liveliest of the group, often bantering and teasing her teammates. She was killed holding back Marie's undead army for Valentine and Christmas.

Easter — She specialized in bodybags, always carrying one over her shoulder, presumably to restrain opponents like Double. She took her job seriously, but was friendly with her teammates. She was also killed by Marie's army, fighting alongside Patty.

Hallow — She predominantly used syringes filled with varying concoctions, to the point where she bandaged multiple onto her arm. She had a penchant for mischief, and at one point Valentine called her habits "creepy". She was the first of The Last Hope to die, killed by Double.

Deep Violet (JP: D・ヴァイオレット Di Vaioretto) is a former crime fighter pulled into the web of intrigue woven around the latest Skullgirl. Deciding it was too much for her stuffy civilian identity, she takes up her Living Weapon, the Pazuzu Whip, and dons her alter ego to enter the fray once more.

Delilah was a previous host of the Parasite, Samson. She has yet to appear outside of concept art.

The Dog is a character that appeared in Filia's origin story, "Hostile Makeover', in Skullgirls Mobile. He was a previous host of Samson's as well as Filia's pet dog.

Feng (JP: フェン Fen) is a Dragon Empire migrant showcasing her acrobatic skills at the Cirque des Cartes. The pair of birds perched on her head are an enigma, summoned by a lucky mistake in geomancy. As much as her family in the Dragon Empire depends on her income, she worries what she and her friend Cerebella will be asked to do in the long run. She is described as "preoccupied", and has a tendency to hesitate.
In Skullgirls Mobile, Feng appears in Cerebella's origin story as one of the three candidates for an important Medici mission, alongside Cerebella and Beatrix. While she passes the first test, she fails the second due to Beatrix's meddling. After being upset initially, she encourages Cerebella to beat Beatrix in the final test, but warns her not to become self-centered and spiteful in her quest for fame.

Florence Méliès is a supporting character who appears in Annie's Story Mode from Skullgirls 2nd Encore. She is the first ever actress to play the role of Annie in the Annie of the Stars show. In modern day times she serves as the real Annie's agent, making sure she's able to keep up her star persona.

George Bomb (JP: ジョージ・ボム Jōji Bomu) is one of Peacock's minions. He is a small bomb with an 8-Ball design. Like the rest of the gang, George is inspired off of Patricia's favorite television series, "Glorious Annie: Symphony of Star Stuff".

Grendel (JP: グレンデル Gurenderu) was a Gigan wrestler. His severed arm is used as part of Beowulf's repertoire.

Horace (JP: ホレス Horesu) is one of Eliza's servants, the other being Albus, in Skullgirls.

Hubrecht "Hertz" Adelhardt (JP: ヒューブレクト・ハーツ・アデルハート Hyūburekuto Hātsu Aderuhāto) is a good-natured strongman who does not realize the Cirque des Cartes doubles as a talent pool for the mob. Some would call him childishly naive while others say he was just born in the wrong world. But most agree that makes little difference, as even a friendly hug from the big guy earns him his nickname of "Hertz".
In Cerebella's origin story in Skullgirls Mobile, he prepares Regina's first test for Cerebella, Beatrix, and Feng, an obstacle course designed to gauge their physical ability. It is very likely he was unaware that the reason for the test was to select an enforcer to carry out a mission for the mob.

Ileum (JP: イレウム Ireumu) is a possible upcoming DLC character.
Her name refers to the last portion of the small intestine. Her original concept art labeled her as "Corkscrew", which describes the metallic appendages that appear from her body as she stretches her limbs to attack.

Isaac (JP: アイザック Aizakku) is an archaeologist who has made unsettling discoveries below the Canopy Kingdom, only to have the evidence buried. Now hunted, Isaac has been literally buying time using shards of a unique type of Theonite he discovered in his search. The one other person who knows about the dig has been wrongfully imprisoned, but learning the truth would put her in greater danger.

King Gilgamesh is a gigan ruler.

Lawrence (JP: ローレンス Rōrensu) is a minor character who briefly appears in Skullgirls. He is depicted as a perverted guy who tries to hit on younger girls such as Minette.

Lonesome Lenny (JP: ロンサム・レニー Ronsamu Renī), or Lenny Bomb, is one of Peacock's minions. He is a large bomb with an 8-Ball design. Like the rest of the gang, Lenny is inspired off of Patricia's favorite television series, Glorious Annie: Symphony of Star Stuff.

Marcus Medici was Filia's father, and a son of Lorenzo Medici.

Mrs. Victoria (JP: ヴィクトリア先生 Vikutoria-sensei) is a non-playable character in Skullgirls. She acts as a mentor to the players and introduces them to the game as well as the basics and advanced mechanics of the game. She is also Filia and Painwheel's teacher in the story. At night, she fights crime under the guise of the character D. Violet.

Ottomo (JP: オットモ Ottomo) is Lorenzo's mechanical henchman. He’s piloted by Tom[1], a tiny salamander, foul-mouthed Dagonian engineer.

Panzerfaust (JP: パンツァーファウスト Pantsāfausuto) was one of the possible DLC characters for Skullgirls. He currently plays a role in the more recent side of Skullgirls lore.

Rachel Wong (JP: レイチェル・ウォン Reicheru Won) is a news reporter for the Canopy Kingdom News.

Regina (JP: レジーナ Rejīna) is the domineering beast tamer at the Cirque des Cartes, she commands a wide range of creatures including several outlandish specimens. She derives no pleasure from her cruelty as it is simply in her cold nature to control others by any means necessary as she does indeed deeply care about her fellow performers. The troupe ultimately answers to Regina, not the ringleader.
In Cerebella's origin story in Skullgirls Mobile, Regina is tasked by Black Dahlia to provide and test candidates in the circus for a Medici mission.

Riccardo (JP: リカルド Rikarudo) is a minor character who briefly appears in Skullgirls. He is depicted as expressing romantic interest towards late adolescents such as Filia and Minette.

Roberto Contiello (JP: ロベルト・コンティエロ Roberuto Kontiero) is the father of Squigly, husband to Selene Contiello and Leviathan's previous host. He has a brief appearance in Squigly's story mode.

Roxie (JP: ロキシー Rokishī), also known as Rosie, is The Black Egrets's ace mechanic. Roxie is an easy-going girl who is driven by curiosity.
At EVO 2024, she was announced to appear in Skullgirls Mobile as a Guest Star.

Scythana (JP: サイサナ Saisana) is a non-playable character in Skullgirls. She was originally a possible DLC character, and as such, the story below and any other info may be outdated information that is not carried on into the actual game.

    Taliesin
(JP: タリエシン Tarieshin) is a bard who can turn others into musical instruments, Taliesin’s role includes punishing members of the Cirque des Cartes who would defy their contract. He keeps a collection of his favorite victims, eliciting jealousy from his accomplice and Remote Parasite, Muse. Taliesin’s cursed touch stems from trading his hands for her arms. He is also very lustful about beautiful women, but only caring about their looks and no interest in their feelings.

In Cerebella's origin story in Skullgirls Mobile, he prepares Regina's second test for Cerebella, Beatrix, and Feng designed to gauge their mental strength. He gives each of them a puzzle box of his own design, and gives them six minutes to solve it and retrieve for him the fragile item inside, a Renoir Egg. However, as Cerebella discovers, he did not specify that the item had to be retrieved in one piece.

    Groups
The Medici Mafia is a criminal organization led by Lorenzo Medici that controls certain parts of the Canopy Kingdom. They have committed numerous crimes and are being hunted by Parasoul to carry out the law. Other hunters include Ms. Fortune, Squigly, and Marie for revenge, and Peacock, not only for revenge but also for sport.
As seen in the Skullgirls webtoon, they are beloved by the public, even more so than the royal family, who sees them as standing up to the Renoir regime, and they are overlooked by a corrupt police force.

The Cirque Des Cartes (French for Circus of Cards) is a famous, playing card themed circus group in the Canopy Kingdom. In reality it is backed by the Medici Mafia and serves as their talent pool for hitmen. However, while most of the performers serves the mafia, some do not or are unaware of its more nefarious deeds.

Peacock's gang consists of a cast of cartoonish characters created by Patricia Watson using the Avery Unit.

The Black Egrets are a group of soldiers serving under Princess Parasoul. They wear pale green uniforms and a mask leaving only their yellow eye goggles. They are loyal to the royal family and will protect them with their lives.

The Fishbone Gang was a band of four Dagonian thieves that had raised Ms. Fortune from when she was a kitten. They took her in their care after finding her as a stray loitering around Little Innsmouth. The gang used to hang out at Yu-Wan's restaurant all the time, which is where Minette and Ms. Fortune met and became friends. They were killed by Black Dahlia when they and Ms. Fortune took the Life Gem from Lorenzo. Now, Ms. Fortune wants to avenge them.

They all wear a fishbone symbol somewhere on their outfits.

The Last Hope was a group of black-ops Anti-Skullgirl Lab operatives entirely composed of combat medics. While there have been many Last Hope squads in the past, the latest team was a team of five operatives, led by Christmas and with Valentine as her second-in-command. Following an attack by Marie, the latest Skullgirl, Valentine remains the only surviving member due to believing she could be useful.

The Trinity is a trio of goddesses in Skullgirls. They are Venus Lovelace, Aeon, and their mother. They are the overarching and likely true antagonists of the game.
