What is the Cryptic Family?
We are a constant growing community of artists and enjoyers of all means scary and horror, whether we want to create something terrifying, share a creepy image, or discuss something disturbing or gross, it is welcome here...
Why?
Because we love the adrenaline rush of wondering would is in the dark, what is waiting on the other side of the door, or under our bed. We love being scared, disturbed, or grossed out. It's fun and fear is a natural part of life...
Who is Welcome?
Everyone and anyone are welcome to The Family, your race, gender, age, height, body, beliefs, and anything in between are not discriminated here. You must only enjoy the fear of all things scary and unusual.

Bullying and discrimination are not welcome nor will be ignored, if such a rule is violated then you will be cast out from the group...then one of our playthings will come for you at night...
Is The Cryptic Family Only on PMC?
As part of the community of, The Family, we want to spread all things horror throughout not only Minecraft and PMC, but beyond. To exist in other platforms, games, websites, and more. So far, we have this group page, one of our own by the name of OrderofChaos has established our own MC Server, Guts N Pixels functions a Youtube, and a newly formed clan exists in Elder Scrolls Online.

We hope to continue growing here and beyond, and we can with your help, just don't get crazy...
Is This a Cult?
No. We are simply a community who enjoys scary things, but we would like to be well known in time. But any actions or talks that make us seem like cultists or fanatics is frowned upon and will not be accepted nor tolerated...
Origins?
The Cryptic Family was established by Guts N Horror (Go figure right?) here on PMC...

Members of the Cryptic Family...

We are having another competition! The theme Sweet Dreams, so your task is to make a creature of nightmares.

Rating Criteria:
Quality/10
Creativity/5
Story/5
Total/20

Skins Due: February 13th

Judging is in two phases:

1. The judges will be our current Fear Priests: Aspirin60 DarkRob333 Firestar2477278 GhostlyBit_57. The current scare seekers will be judged in this phase. A third of the participants up to three winners will be promoted to fear priest.

2. The judges will be myself, OrderOutOfChaos. The current Fear Priests will be judged, and one will be promoted to Lord of Terror.

  The next two chapters of my new series, War on the Nether, will feature Morbid Island (the home of the Cryptic Family in my lore).
  
  Here's an excerpt from chapter III, "Mission to Morbid Island," which I'm currently writing:
  
  The Soda Strike Team sneaks into the town, where they spot several piglins overwhelming Fear Priest Aspirin. IGE fires his rifle at one of the piglins, shoots the other three with light blasts. "What do you know, it's the Soda Strike Team!" Aspirin cheers. "Thanks for the save, IGE." "Always happy to help a fellow Fear Priest." IGE responds.

After many requests, we now have a Bedrock server. As Java players get Bedrock for free, everyone can play here.

Leave any suggestions for events or changes in the comments.

This server is an extension of our group. If you don’t think you could do it on the group, don’t do it here; use common sense. If you see someone greifing,
bullying, or hacking, take a screenshot and PM me. If I have evidence, the offender will be banned from the server and removed from the group.

  I have an idea about rewards for competitions based on Haza’s guest book post below:
  
  the winner gets to come up with a name for a custom rank that they will be invited to (ex: if Haza were to win Sweet Dreams, Chaos could make a rank called “The Morbid Ice Cream Maker” and then invite him to the role)
