1. Theme : Biome Dependent!

Imagine your character lives exclusively in a Minecraft biome for many generations. How would the biome's weather, resources and traits influence what they wear, value, eat and who or what they are!? Your character should look and feel at home in their biome.

Choose a Minecraft biome and design a character skin for it.

How to choose a biome?
We recommend browsing the list of biomes and choosing one that inspires a character that would live there exclusively. There are many options but the most extreme biomes probably have the greatest influence on it's inhabitants and fuel for your creative inspiration. However, with enough creativity any biome could produce a character that wins this contest!

IMPORTANT : Identifying the biome on your entry
It's important to specify what biome you selected either in the title or description. If it's not clear to judges that your skin was made for the contest, you're skin may be disqualified!

TIP : Description can gain you Thematic Interpretation points with the judges
While your skin design should capture attention, don't forget about the power of words and images! Consider describing the relationship between your skin concept and the biome using text, references or illustrations. It's not easy to judge hundreds of skins, so help the community and the judges see why your skin stands out from the rest by giving everyone insight into your interpretation of the theme and thought behind your creativity. More clarity between the skin and the theme, will get you more Thematic Interpretation points.

2. Skins must be new and made for this contest.

• Standard definition player skins only! Sorry, no HD skins for this contest. We want to keep things on a level playing ground and skins that are most widely supported by Minecraft.
• We do not and have never accepted any copies or re-posts in our contests, nor do we accept skins created before the contest's announcement date.
• Do not submit copies, or paint-overs, of default textures from the minecraft.jar - This means no Steve skins, zombie skins, pigman skins, Creeper skins, or Enderman skins are permitted!
• Do not submit copies, or paint-overs, of skins found in any existing texture packs or mods, even if you are the original author.
• Do not submit existing member submissions, from this site or others. This includes your own galleries.

3. Skins must be valid, usable character skins.

4. Submit something you made, entirely by yourself.

5. One entry per person.

6. The contest will run for about three weeks.

7. Take your time, and make it fun!
