Why are you applying for staff?
I wanted to mix things up from just playing Minecraft. I used to moderate previous servers and found it very fun to interact with players being a staff member. It seems like you have some open positions and I would like to help fill one of those slots
Why should we choose you over any other applicant for a staff position?
You should choose me over other people because I am dedicated to what I say and I do what I say very well. I have excellent time management and I feel that I can communicate with others greatly. I am friendly and I am understanding in most circumstances. I have a decent amount of free time after school that I usually play Minecraft on anyways, so I can dedicate that time towards your server.
What do you think the point/job of a helper is on our server?
The point of a helper is to be a relay to higher staff. If they think something is severe enough, they report to a higher position. A helper is also supposed to keep the chat friendly and healthy. They are supposed to take care of the spammers and anyone who needs help i.e.- They do not know how to get to spawn. I think that people go over kill and over exaggerate in these sections and talk about higher level positon responsibilities. Banning and temp-banning should be reserved for positions like mods and admins.
Have you ever been banned on any server, if so why?
Nope, unless you count being pinged for kill-aura, but that ban was overturned by the owner
Are you staff on any other servers? If so how will you split your time between our server and the other one?
No, I sadly stepped down from moderating another server. The community started to dry up and I felt like I should take my leave.
Do you have any experience in moderating Enjin forums or Minecraft servers?
I have been designated forums mod before on a past factions server. I just watched for flame wars and checked the reports to forward to higher staff if deemed sufficient.
As to Minecraft servers, I have used to be a highly respected head mod on a factions server. I understand the responsibilities and mindset that one must have to manage the server. I have also been helpers here and there on server, and I have been an Admin on a survival server. I helped manage the perms and anything that anyone needed help with. If you have any other questions feel free to ask!
How active are you in-game?
I play for about an hour each day at least, and usually do not go afk in that time period. I would consider myself quite active in-game!
How active are you on the forums?
I usually check the forums a couple times a day on the servers I play on, so I would add yours to my list
How often are you playing on our server or visiting our forums?
I plan on playing every day to help moderate and I plan to visit the forums everyday as well.
Time estimates of how often you are active in-game and on the forums?
Everyday – 1-2 hours depending on school work load
Forums – Everyday as well as I have access to them during school so I can always check on them
If you were in a situation you are not suited\capable to solving\fixing\resolving\handling what would you do? Beyond simply calling for other staff?
I would record the situation so I could deal with it accordingly. Later I would forward to higher staff but in the present, I would handle it to the best of my abilities.
IMO-This question is a little vague as it could go in many different ways and the common and easiest way is to coordinate with higher staff.
Any additional information you would like to inform us of?
I am a tad bilingual in Spanish as I take it in high school.
In regards to looking at other applicants, take into consideration to what people can actually and are capable of doing. Being on 24/7 is not realistic and spelling/grammar should have some weight as to how abled you/mature are. People also seem to be associating more advanced (for a lack of a better word) commands like /ban and /ipban for helper commands. Helpers should not be given these commands, as they should be reserved for more appropriate positions
