The Tales were in a spruce forest on a full moon night, around a campfire.
"Hey Haunter...", you sombered.
"... What is it, Rose..?", he mumbled.
"Do you remember
that time when you found me, standing on my grave?", you asked.
"Yeah... everything was so difficult back then... My friend had killed me by blowing my head up but I still couldn't leave this land of mortals... Yeah... It was a rainy, moonless night... It was thundering, too... Ah, those ol' days...", he remembered.
"Hey guys, we should go hunt our food. We haven't eaten anything in this evening", said Silksnacher.
"Yeah, right... Let's leave these lovebirds alone", said The Sea-Swallowed Captain, laughing quietly.
"...", The Unshorn was quiet, as always.
"... We're not together or anything...", Headless Haunter complained.
(Doesn't he feel like I do..? ... I should go hunt with others, I feel kind of sad...), you thought.
You stood up to leave the campfire with others.
"... Hey Rose, don't leave me alone", said Headless Haunter when grabbing your arm.
"H-Haunter? Um-uhh... Ye-yes, I won't", you promised him, becoming a little happier.
"... You're blushing", he told.
"W-wha- Ahh! Don't look, it's embarassing...", you said.
The other tales left. You and Headless Haunter are sitting together on a cut tree.
"Hey... Do you... What do you think about me?", you asked Haunter and were embarassed.
"... Me... About you..? ... Well... Uhm... I...", he was struggling, not knowing what to say.
"S-sorry, just forget about that, my bad...", you apologized while regretting your actions.
"... No... You didn't do anything wrong... I mean, I was thankful to hear that...", he said.
"What do you mean..?", you asked a bit quietly, waiting for some good words.
"... I love you", he told in a deep tone.
