What i would probably do is grab my " gardening tools" ( machete, hand axe, shovel and some long blade thingy :3) Go to the hunting/fishing/camping store in town and barricade all the windows and doors and get leather or motorbike riding clothing for armor. In my town ( i live in a small-ish town) nearly every building on the main street is connected together so eventually we would get to the top of a building and use them to get around. After a day or so we'd hit the supermarket and any other survivors we find, we'll help. Raid the super market and then barricade that up aswell. Surprisingly it is pretty damn secure ( i know because i work there) And for a long time we'd move from area to area in town and get a truck and get supplies and whatever else we need then drive to where ever.
Thats my friends group plan of course Honestly we have been training for such a thing to happen aswell xD i have been doing weights and sprinting aswell as carrying heavy weights xD
Better safe than sorry.
EDIT- or just kill myself if im about to be swarmed. I really dont want to be killed by being bitten and torn to death -___- I'd rather take the easy way out and it should be quicker depending on how you do it.
