The Diamond CrafterHello, today i need your help. In visual studio i have coded my own operating system. It is going great but i need help with the storage. Can you link me a tutorial or something. What i'm am on about is lets say if i download a picture on that os, how do i save it in the os itself? so lets say instead of saving it on the windows desktop it will save it in the os. So like maybe how i also make a something like c: drive. Please help. It's also worth noting that it is a virtual os. Which means it is a exe file that opens the os. Please someone help!

I don't think you have honestly excessively spent time to code your own operating system, let alone the .NET Framework is windows-dependent in most cases. You would have to script something with Cosmos (http://cosmos.codeplex.com/) to even be lucky.

Not to mention the time to take to compile and build a stable kernel yourself is something that is near impossible to be done alone. An Exe is an executable application that is compiled from the .NET framework. not an OS.

Attempt to use Crouton and install a linux distribution, if that works, you might be able to install openjdk-7-jre and play minecraft. its a slim chance.

Is what I was referring to, if you are using stock minecraft and an extended heap. its not your issue.

From the looks of it. Not your issue.
The heap size is there to provide "memory" minecraft can use.
my assumption is something was to be calculated and it would of flooded your memory, causing it to crash.
English: Programming flaw possibly.

Count numerically for each home-user designed OS. XP - 5, Vista - 6, 7 is ovbiously....7, 8...same thing.

As for 9, "Development testing was so well that we decided to just rename it to 10" was the official quote.

Please get off of the internet.
Let me explain some facts to you by starting off by stating my occupation, I am an Network Manager and a Linux System Admin.
(Not trying to boast about myself, but this type of information applies to my occupation, so I can stably say that I know what I am saying)

1. Do you think Google, one of the worlds biggest growing technology marketers is a virus? They have been around probably longer than you have born.
a company so stable in technology in the market that nearly has one of their products in every household.

2. Definitons of "hacking" are scrambled by journalism and people that have no clue what to say as they are ignorant of a subject. Such as you.
the term "hack" is overly used and is sorted into specific categories that people now neglect to notice. such as "cracking" and "reverse engineering".

3. An denial of service attack can last as long as the attacker want's if they aren't some script kiddie. I've demonstrated attacks lasting 3 days from a public node in New York to mitigate for a Networking + certificate.

4. DDoS'ing is easier than you think(not promoting).
You need to study about networking to claim "No your internet just sucks", there is a such thing as speed that varies with rates of packets.
Your statement is like saying a dialup connection can take out a datacenter.

Majority of the people learning how to "hack" are script kiddies that are simple going on youtube to learn from an improper incredible source.

Please learn your terminology before posting somewhere and telling people that you know better without providing facts.

Going to try to explain the "Mac will no longer work".
This is incredibly untrue for one reason, The game was designed in Java, and Java is a Multi-platform programming language. The code you execute on windows will be relatively the same on windows or UNIX.

There is thought though that the programming language will be changed, as C# and Java are pretty much competing with each other with a similar syntax/style. But this is unlikely to change.
If the language was to change to C#, Mono would probably be needed, if that fails, then it would be windows only.

(Android also uses Java Syntax for Applications)
