This is the final weekend to work on your contest entries for the official skin and project contests! Put those finishing pixels on your skins and lay those last blocks on your projects. Also, remember that a good presentation can increase your overall score!

Norse Mythology Skin Contest is going strong, with 139 unique entries. Remember to familiarize yourself with Norse Mythology using the resources provided! Contest ends May 27th!

The project contest, Preserving World Heritage also ends May 27th. For this contest, you'll choose a property from the UNESCO World Heritage List. Pick your favorite or one that inspires you the most. We've seen some great entries already!

Many of you celebrated Minecraft's 10th anniversary with us and others around the globe! Cib made a collection of the submissions he came across. We adore StLee's skin, ~✿~ Minecraft @ 10 - a creeper skin with a flower crown wearing pig overalls! Who knew creepers could be so cute!?

We're somehow already halfway through May! This means that we're closer to summer, but it also means the deadlines for this month's contests are approaching quick!



Today is also Minecraft's 10th Anniversary! Happy Anniversary, Minecraft! As Cib said it perfectly in his forum discussion Celebrate Minecraft's 10th Anniversary, that's "10 years of crafting, building, slashing, clicking and tapping." Cib also shares a couple of ideas if you want to join in on the celebration, but are not sure how:

- Download the free anniversary map for Java or Bedrock for free by BlockWorks
- Ride a wave of nostalgia all the way back to the days of Minecraft Classic
- Celebrate with Minecraft.net by viewing their anniversary page, timeline and special announcements!

PMC Member MrNovoa_ was featured on Minecraft.net in an article, Air Traffic. The article covers MrNovoa_'s Steampunk Airplane build as well as their Magical Forest Wolf and Dream of Paradise build and gives insight on the challenges faced when an organics builder attempts to build non-organics.



Cib's resource pack, Perfect Paintings, hit 1200 downloads this week! Congratulations on your milestone!
