Hi PMC, hope you're having a great weekend!

After a roller coaster ride of locating, merging, migrating and auditing massive amounts of data (nearly a billion records), I'm back on crossing off front-end features until remaining tasks are down to launch preparation. The bulk of the work is done, last 10% requires pushing through and eventually leaving some ideas for post launch.

You have every right to use our site without being subject to private messages that make you feel unsafe or uneasy. You should never feel pressured into not speaking up.

Every private message chain has a block and report button underneath that allows you to quickly and easily block communications with a specific user, and (if you choose to) submit a report to the administrators so that they can investigate any relevant message chains and act in your best interest to keep you safe. If you'd rather talk about the situation with a site moderator, we can also forward your concerns to the admins (with your permission). Reporting a user through their profile will also put the situation on our radar so the team -- as a whole -- can put energy into investigating the situation for you.

yknow, sometimes i wonder the sheer ammount of mental gymnastics transphobes, homophobes, etc. have to do to prove to themselves they're in the right

like if they tried use all that mental energy to try and CONNECT and UNDERSTAND and EMPHATIZE with the people they chastise JUST for being different instead of using it to justify their bigotry, i think theyd fare way better in life

then again, not like they would. it's easier to convince someone with good palate to change their ways for the better than it is to argue with bigots who foolishly drag their faces on shit and try and convince themselves its caviar
