oh man i got so caught up i forgot to work on my skin
last thing i'll say, no matter the people disliking this month, or the people blaming it for all the drama, i still think it's a great month. we deserve a month where we can be proud, and i wouldn't want it disappearing any time soon

Seeing lots of people getting offended by posts saying "don't be homophobic/transphobic". On top of that, a lot of people assume folks asking for people not to be homophobic/transphobic is about them specifically or about cishet people.
Spoiler: it's not.

Anyone can discriminate against the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Anyone. Including people within the community. We don't say it to attack a specific group of people, we say it to spread awareness and positivity. Anyone specifically attacking people are in the wrong and this is not a post to defend them.
To add to this, internalized homophobia/transphobia is a thing which a lot of folks struggle with. Luckily, most people get over it. Some do not.
Quit assuming it's about cishet people when it has never been mentioned. We all understand that "not everyone" is bad. Please get that.

Another thing I'd like to mention briefly is; "not agreeing with" something means you don't support it. You can not support something if you do not agree with it. It's been said many times, by many people, both offline and online.
Edit: Another thing that's needed to be said is that you can't support some of it, but not another part. You either do or don't support it. It's one thing to not support certain people who happen to be part of it (this is fine), but it's a whole other thing to only "support" certain aspects of an entire community.

If you're offended by this post or any others that simply ask for people not to discriminate, there's a chance you need to educate yourself a bit better on these topics.

Any discriminatory comments will be removed and, depending on how severe they may be, reported.
For everyone else, please stay safe out there and block anyone who may be harming you. People love you and support you.

oh boy i sure hope people aren't being oppressed and shunned in the month about stopping oppression

i know that pride month is the month where lgbtqia+ gets the spotlight but don't knock others down while doing so

yes there are mean straight people but remember that being mean doesn't have to do with orientation

if you're making a post about mean straights make sure to say you don't mean all of them

hurting innocent people will not put you in a pleasant light
