I was thinking about that too! Just kind of wondering what everyone else thought was the best way forward. Thanks for the suggestion.

Looking good already, I'm a fan of the burnt wood type text on stuff like that too. Try this for fun:

Well then maybe what is needed is to open another area of submission for minor changes to resource packs like a sound pack.

Come on guys, don't stagnate, stay recent and stay relevant.

I am pretty sure exp is the only thing that matters around here But in fact not to me, I produce stuff nobody has seen in 25 years, so I'll never be a PMC star lol.

I know there is the texture pack discussion sub-forum, and yeah once the new 1.7 features hit and I can start creating plugin packs to change stuff like music, art, sounds, then that will be the only place to post them.

I was just thinking that PMC shouldn't get bogged down in conservatism, I would like to see the place be elastic, and not get stuck in the past. Change with the game, this is a signifigent change in the way you can mix and match content for your game experience, it would be great if something here could help facilitate and propagate people's creativity which will result from that game change!

I'm not so sure. If you don't it seams like it either gets frozen or breaks the rules according to the guidelines:

When creating texture packs, you are allowed to use Minecraft's terrain.png contents only as placeholders. You may not use any other texture packs as placeholders. Note that submissions that are "frozen" in a placeholder state may be removed at moderators' discretion.

    Do not Upload:
    X-Ray packs
Packs with no or barely any new content
Scribble packs, X-Ray packs, or texture packs that only change a small portion of the game such as mobs, armor, paintings or tools.

Yup that is a perfect example, those villager sounds have to be the most annoying thing in the entire game, if not world

That is as clear as it gets, I'm not very good with photoshop! Unless you meant clean, no background/txt or whatever.

If you want the raw PSD pop me a PM and I'll link you up lol.

Towny plugin installed. dndDice plugin installed. multiverse and multiverse portals installed.

Very limited access to the nether/end/any other world dimension. Any access to the extra dimensions would be set for adventure mode and GMed by an OP/Admin.

Diamond ore spawn cut by 75%, emeralds eliminated.

    Custom map.

What is wrong with calling out someone who makes an obvious choice to look and act differently in order to fit into a fake group of other people doing the same thing?

If hipsters are going to get hurt by anything... it is the fake glasses they are wearing!

What is a Hipster Crafting Table?

Is it a mod where the Crafting Table is wearing fake glasses, flannel, and a backpack?? If so, I don't think your resource pack is showing it properly... Try mcpatcher?

Yeah ok, I concede on the point where I say you should be working if you're logged into the site. I get that you are all non-paid, I know how this works. But yeah, actually there should be a quota per day on how many things you need to review of. If there are that many, shouldn't be a problem to meet it.

I don't need to PM anyone, what does that do? I wouldn't listen to some nub who PMs me. Generating interest here in the forum though, where everyone can voice their opinions is democratic.

The exclusions of IPs via regex was an example, and yes it can be done and yes it would have prevented that blog from getting posted and many others in the future which would save you guys time too, you can see the reciprocal value in that. There are many others you can use with words also to block the other junk.

2 site level mods right now in Chat, do something every now and then will you for christ sake?

What makes you think that the thing you reported should be dealt with before the other submissions which were reported earlier? Do you have any idea how many reports there are? Do you realise that site mods are also people, and as such, have their own lives. Would it be smart of me, to accuse you (if you were a site mod) that "you're not doing your job, you lazy butt do what I tell you to"?
Have patience and wait your turn. Who cares if it gets on the pop reel. Sounds to me like a might bit of jealousy if you can't even handle a post that hit the pop reel for 2 minutes.

Good god. Read the rest of this post and understand what a private address is first.

I am not jealous of anything, I'm surprised that the site's default settings can even allow this to happen.

I dont really care about how many reports you have to deal with, it shouldn't have happened to begin with.

Get some regex filters run against the submissions to look for IP address, problem solved. Raise requirements for pop reel. Problem solved. Many many things can prevent this, it has been happening for a while.

Thank you #1. At least one person who understands what a private address is read this post.

Something can be done about this. We just need to push action.

That is exactly my point you foos. That server couldn't be connected to even if he was paying people to do it. 192 is a private address, that is just how totally bunk the pop reel is.

He got on the pop reel because the idiots "applying" to the server generated enough hits and comments to get it up there. Valid or not.

Your an idiot. Tell me, how would you connect to a server with a 192 address? Do you know what private address ranges are?
