lets talk about that immortal snail thought experiment
if you are immortal then thats cool for like the first few decades but at some point you will probably just want to stop being immortal. especially since your quality of life has taken a hit because you are constantly afraid of the snail.
but what if the snail knows this, so it spends its whole life running away from you?
so like, you may be immortal, but you are living in constant fear of a snail who knows that you fear it and therefore knows that at some point you will want to die, so instead of chasing you, it hides from you
