Again, read my above post. I am not so irrational that I don't expect y'all to have the same builds.... I think I explained myself very clearly in my above post about that. Please reread if you are confused. Having similar builds is not the issue. When we embellish on our builds and add things NOT in the movies- and suddenly you have the exact same things on the exact same build- I don't know how you can claim its not copying.
I understand we are the same fandom and certain roles like Mayor and Escort and things will be similar. What I have a hard time with is that your server has been around for YEARS- literally- years....and has not had any new things hardly added to it. You have been a very basic server with not a lot of things from the book in it. Before my server came out, there weren't even peacekeepers and gamemakers on your server. When we announced we were going to have them- a week later y'all have them. This has become a trend, we think of an idea, and suddenly I see it on your homepage a few days later.
Im not arguing the fact that we are all Hunger Games servers- I am disgusted that it takes us doing something for you to do it too. I just want your server to be unique and stop following every thing we do. If you wanted gamemakers- why did it take over 2 years to implement that role, and only right when we came out and have them? Why did you suddenly decide to give free nicknames out, after years of not doing it? Why did you use a training center for 2 years, but suddenly decide to change it after your head builder was a tribute in our games and spent a lot of time in ours? Why did we announce having 3D accessories and other things- and suddenly want them too? Why did we announce that we had players who were going to be trainers, and suddenly you have them?Why have you used the same Hall of Ceremonies for every single games and then suddenly decide to change to one that looks almost identical to ours, a very short time after we made ours? After years of having none of these things that are easily in the movies and books, you suddenly have them right after we have implemented them? I don't buy it. A few of them I would let pass, but I could literally make a list a mile long of everything that was just..for a lack of a better word, copied. I understand these are all Hunger Games related things and could have easily been done by you. I am not saying its my idea to hire trainers. What I am saying is that: why do you wait years to implement things, and only do it shortly after we have done it?! I don't know how to explain it clearly.
Im not sitting here saying we own the Hunger Games or a monopoly on it. What I am saying is, your server has not evolved in 2 years- it has been bland, boring, and basically a vanilla minecraft server. You have only started changing your server once my server has come out. I find it very suspicious that all of your major changes occur about a week to a month after we release something new and are coincidently the exact same change as us. I find it suspicious that you are rebuilding areas that have been done for years, after seeing that ours are more accurate. I find it suspicious that your builds look very similar to ours, after years of using builds that were completely different.
Listen, I understand updating your server, but why is it a coincidence that everything you update is about a week to a month behind us? Why can't you update something BEFORE we have done it?
Also, I have never griefed your server once. You make these wild claims about my staff members, when people from your server literally sign on nightly and spam your IP and harass my players.
I never asked for this "war" between our servers. I talked calmly with your owner. We came to an agreement. Even he admitted that builds were copied from my server. He promised me that he wouldn't use those builds anymore. Instead, he kept the builds and then promoted the person who copied us to head builder. I am not ok with this, and whatever understanding me and your owner had is gone.
If you want to believe that I am this evil person, I don't know what to say. My staff has worked extremely hard on my server. All we want is for our server to maintain its originality. I understand 2 Hunger Games servers will be very similar, but we never set out copying y'all. We try to be creative and think about how we can do things different than y'all. Why would I waste my time making a server if I wanted to make one exactly like yours? I would save myself a lot of work, time, and money. Trust me when I say, I don't want drama anymore. I just want y'all to go away. Stop using us as an idea board and think of some things yourself. We would have 0 drama if your server would just delete mine off its server list and just stay away.
EDIT: and yes I would like to add that things have gotten ugly and carried away. I know coming to planet minecraft and making this post wasn't the world's best way of handling this situation. I just wanted to vent my frustrations after months and months and months of this happening time after time. Things certainly have escalated between the 2 servers. People have acted out of anger and frustration. I don't necessarily condone anything that has been done to your server (very minor griefing- which by the way was fixed in like 1 minute with a command), but I can understand why some people would want to retaliate. And ps. Just a tip: if you don't want people to grief you (Ive noticed a lot of ban appeals on your forums by people who have griefed), why not use worldguard or a protection plugin? Y'all are complaining about people griefing when your server is literally griefed daily because you don't even have protection on it!? Which is ludicrous, I might add. Anyways, aside from talking on this post, Ive stopped worrying about y'all completely. You want to keep copying- it just makes you look bad. My staff hardly ever came on your server to begin with, but trust me they def. won't ever again. Please, for the love of God, leave me and my server alone. Also, if people from your server could stop pming me making threats about "ruining" me and wanting to cause me harm, that would be cool. It's one thing to argue on the internet, its another to threaten me. Just stop copying, leave me alone, and all is well in the world.
