There's been a change of plans due to my involvment in other projects.

New Cold War pack update will focus more on improvements and remakes of existing aircraft.
The most notable change would be a different texture style as shown here.

I hope to release it next month, and an update on WW2 planes following that.

I also wasn't satisfied with how little addons there were, so decided to make my own😅 Can't believe so much time has passed since then. The T-33 was one of my first models so I thought it needed improvement sometime.

I mostly feel that importing models is not as easy as it seems. Like you said, it depends on the model. The problem is that it's hard to find the "right" model to import, and optimizing the model for mcheli can either be relatively painless or take a lot of time. Especially if textures are messed up, or the vehicle doesn't have interior modeled, it can be a nightmare to fix. So it doesn't save much time as initially expected. At least they can still look good in-game though!

Honestly some imported models looking like from battlefield 2 dont match with Minecraft graphics. I mean its nice when its detaied, but if it has 10k faces+ its unplayable. Funny thing is that those are easier to make, cuz you can find ready models just to adjust to mcheli. Hardest ones are those low poly 😂 but they are best at filling task that they have - to improve your game content still letting you play without thinking of quantity. It takes whole realism aspect from the game when your army has to adjust to quantity of vechiles cuz of fps drop

Cold War Pack V2.0 will include multiple aircraft representative of the era.
It will be focused on quantity and faster production times as opposed to detail.
All models that I make will be ported to mcheli all at once, so release timeframe is undetermined.
