I don't mean low contrast skins! I agree with you on that. I love your strong light source and the ones like I linked! I simply mean I'd love to see more unique designs!
What do you mean by 'normal shading'? I personally don't like low contrast skins, they seem too bland to me. My skins are not intented to be easily readable and wearable in game like marketplace ones, but are rather done on artistic purpose solely. That's why I often like to blend colors beetween hair, skin, outfits, use a lot of different colors per element, etc. I may vary outfits and/or make some male characters, but I won't likely change the shading which is part of my style's uniqueness :s
To be honest, I mainly make skins I would like to wear, that's why these are mostly female characters. I wouldn't mind making skins of some male characters I like, though.
I would love it if PMC added a feature where when you moused over somebody's name, it would give you an option to subscribe to them (or say Subscribed!) if you already did. That way you don't necessarily have to go to their profile page to do it! That would be so friggin' convenient <3
There's something that very little people can do, and I'm not one of that little group of people on PMC lol, but it's basically adding side colors. Basically side colors are when you are done adding the main colors to your skin, so you start adding colors that give the skin variety, and vibrancy. These colors aren't necessary to make a skin look great or finished, but they do fill gaps if your skin doesn't look very detailed. if done neatly it might even make your skin look miles better. I can't remember what it's exactly called, but I think it's called "Noise".
you mean like that thing canday does, where they just say THIS IS BLUE NOW and it just works? because it frustrates me SO much that some people just do that and it looks good.
So Nitgo was talking about doing something actually scary as a minecraft skin and that got me thinking. in my teens i used to draw a lot of spooky stuff, especially body horror... i whipped up a concept for something and started making the face. If you'd like to see me finishing this one please let me know.
Due to the nature of the skin i need to make it hd, because 64x64 res will not get the uncanny valley right. That's why i am not sure whether or not to complete this, as i need to do the hue shifting manually here.....
