I can't remember my first game, I think it was an from one in an Arcade. My first proper console game was either Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Trek: Shattered Universe or Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Kortex. It was one of the three.

    Good times they were...

    Easier said than done.

A good start would be to get used to using programs such as mcedit, which has a lot of useful functions. If your going for custom terrain, worldedit is a must! Although MCedit can make spheres or ellipsoids, its a bit hard to use, so I build it in-game following the 'blueprints' on plotz http://www.plotz.co.uk/. There are useful mods such as schematica and voxelsniper out there as well.

Otherwise, it really depends on what you want to build. For example, you wouldn't build a spaceship or space station as you would build an organic build. Its all different.

However, a good thing to do is to get the angles right, because they can help increase the complexity of the structure. Using slabs and stairs can also make it look nicer.

TraedpoDI love it when I open my Macbook Pro in front of my Windows friends, and as that starting sound hums, they stare at me as if I just pissed in their Cheerios. Haha!

    They're really smart, though. Many of us actually have intelligent discussions about the benefits of both systems quite often. This is what we came up with;

The major difference between them is how you invest your money.

    MAC OS X
    - Pay $1k+ once.
    + FREE OS.
    + FREE media software.
    - $60 full office software.
    + Durable as hell.
    + 4k display.
+ No required anti-virus. You can catch them, but I haven't in over 7 years of wild Internet surfing and downloads.
+/- Can run Windows simultaneously or separately.

    PC WINDOWS
    - Pay $300+ for computer (it's included in the price either way).
    - Pay $$$ once or monthly for anti-virus.
    - $200+ OS.
    - $110+ office software.
+ Cheaper and/or easier to customize.
    - OS is not streamlined to all available hardware.
+/- Can run OS X simultaneously or separately. However, you must be careful what hardware you use. This will not work nicely for all Windows users.

I think it's like comparing an orange to an orange. Or an apple to an... *giggles* apple. In the end, you could have the same deal.

The main difference is whether you want to pay throughout your term, or most of your cash/money up-front. This is what we have gathered from our use of both.

Pretty good cross-reference. If I asked my mates to create something like that, they'll probably end up with something like:

    Windows
A lot more games run on it.
    More customisable.
Found on a lot more cheaper computers.
Easy to install onto a computer you build yourself.
    More people have it.

    Mac
Not all games run on it.
    Only found on overpriced devices.

EDIT: Actually, has anyone used a Linux before? I heard that they don't get as many viruses either.

EDIT: Damn, didn't publish what I wrote.

Yeah, sadly thats a common flaw with my persuasive writing skills.

I agree its a matter of preference. It looks very similar to Windows, anyway. Like I said, I haven't used a Mac that much.

I thought someone would have brought up the point I was going to bring up, but oh well. I'll keep the machine out of this, so I can stay on topic.

Windows, because its mostly program-friendly. From a coders point of view, those who are making a program to put up/sell on the internet will normally choose Windows first before converting it to mac, because so many people use it (and even fewer use Linux). Proof? Tell me a game that originated from Mac or Linux before being converted. Also, perhaps most coders usually practice coding on a windows device, so they'll be more familar with windows then Mac.

Though the downside to this is that its also means a lot of viruses are available for windows, but thats easily solved with a good antivirus.

Can't really say which is more convenient, as I never used one for a long-enough time. Thats what makes a more effective OS isn't it? If its convenient and easy-to-use, than one that lacks these two things.

1)Would you rather find diamonds or the end portal?
    A. Usually end portals, but if theres a lot of diamonds (10+), then I'll happily take the diamonds

    2) Would you have to deal with only skeletons at night? Or twice the amount of zombies at night?
    A. Skeletons

    3) Would you rather be stuck in the nether or be stuck in the end?
    A. In creative, End because theres so much free space to build. In survival and Adventure though, nether

    4) Would you rather only play minecraft or never play minecraft again?
    A. Even though I play MC a lot, I don't want to lose the opportunity of playing other games. So never play Minecraft again

    5) Would you rather find a dungeon or an abandoned mineshaft?
    A. Dungeon. No-brainer

    6) Would you rather be a famous youtuber or be head developer for mojang?
    A. Famous youtuber

    7) Would you rather fight an enderman or a wither skeleton?
    A. Enderman

    8) Would you rather fight a wither boss or the ender dragon?
    A. Enderdragon.

    9) Would you rather never find diamond again but find twice the amount of iron or never find iron again and find twice the amount of diamond? (its really a simple choice if you think about it)
    A. Diamond, because Gold will still be around

    10) Would you rather be CEO of mojang for a day and get to do whatever you wanted to minecraft or work for mojang your whole life and just make little suggestions here and there?
    A. I would rather work for Mojang forever and make little contributions every now and then.

I have mixed feelings about it. While it does spam the mod section of the site, it allows people with little-to-no modding experience to create a very simple private mod to play by themselves and their friends. I also used it a few times to create a simple 'concept' mod, and see if the structure I made is small enough to be spawned. But people keep posting mods made with this, and it drives me absolutely crazy.
