Its not in the rules anymore, but an older revision of the site rules stated:



"How do I become moderator?
New moderators are chosen based on their maturity, activity (how much they visit and contribute to the site), whether or not they actively file reports (in the chat room, forums and site) and their personality as a whole. There is no application process, you will be contacted if you have been chosen. 'Hinting' at how much you deserve to be a staff member and harassing existing staff members about promoting you will result in you never obtaining a moderator rank. Please keep this in mind."
