You think that's ridiculous? I just uploaded a story-based blog post. It has 1 view, my own. I just got a notification that it's been featured on Pop-reel. I have received no diamonds or favorites yet.
I think it might just be very slightly broken.

They take up real estate for the rest of the submissions. The second someone reaches front page with a submission, that's the most attention your work is gonna get.

That doesn't justify it for me though. Having the requirement of at least one fav, diamond or comment would be enough to show that the community approves of the submission in some way.
As it is now, anyone can slap something together to reach the required word count and just because it's posted it will gather a handful of views and end up on the frontpage...

Where it stands between the most popular recent submissions of the community, as if it would represent the quality of what the community creates. and that's simply not right.

Starting to look familiar but I like the change. I'm currently planning how to go about the interior, now that the entire hangar area is scrapped and plannet to go into the Paragon variant.
The center and the large cutout at the front are the focus now. After that, I just need to do the back and underside and we can finally get to giving this thing some interior!

The new Raptor Series of Railguns will replace the old weaponry to allow for a more cost efficient and eco-friendly way of blasting the hell out of our enemies.

The Gladiator variant will focus more on heavy weaponry and armor at the expense of speed.
It's slightly longer than the standard Paladin cruiser and has less of the smaller turrets to defend itself against smaller craft but carries a scary amount of weaponry designed to take on everything.

The Paragon variant has large docking areas and hangar bays and carries, maintains and constructs fighters, bombers and corvettes. It has a larger superstructure with command towers.
The heavy railgun turrets are replaced by rocket batteries so it can more easily defend itself against warships and smaller craft alike.

Both of these variants are currently in development. They are expected to be upgraded with the new advanced engines after completing the trial phase.

Fair enough. Do you plan to just use wool,or will you throw some similar colored terracotta in for accents? I've played around with that and this was what I got:

I don't think that I've seen you use patterns on your hulls other than maybe your hammerhead ship, but something like your asgard battleship's random mixture would look really nice. However, I don't know how you could do that in mcedit without a lot of steps...

I use the replace function of mcedit for it. Since i use quartz blocks almost exclusively for the armor plating it shouldn't take too long

The Paladin Class will not have landing bays for figthers or bombers in the standard configuration. Instead, that space will now go to more cannons. If you disagree with this decision, you can cancel your preorders now.

Anyways the empty space will be filled soon. I'm just switching around every now and then to not build in the same spot all the time. Keeps things fresh.
